Hi,

This is the next event. A great hill. National Road is trying to make it a long lasting event. Hope to see you there.

Cheers

Hi,

Online and early registration ends noon this Saturday. Registration counts are low so far, so we hope you will come out and help make this event successful and sustainable.

Cheers

I don't know why but the word on the street is that Maryland State Police are "targeting" the area between Cumberland and Flintstone on the Hillclimb weekend. Please watch your speeds. Don't know the "reason" but be advised.

Thanks for the heads up! Some of us, uh, drive quite quickly to the events so this is helpful :P

Registered, but hoping to make the event. had a timing belt jump on Sunday at an autocross. Reset it to test and have good compression. Going to do a leak down on it tonight and see if any valves are bent. I would think with 140 - 160 pounds compression that I may be OK? Need to get a new belt and tensioners on and see if it runs. If not, i may need to do a quick rewire of engine that was in fire and see if that will go. So much work, so little time.

55 Registered with another 10 supposedly coming. Weather forecast looks like it's improving. You folks are going to get so many runs you'll be worn out! See you Friday!

You may think the forecast is good - 90+ degrees & Nomex sucks. Why can't we run in October? Whine, whine. Sue

Isn't anyone going to post fun videos? Darryl's opinion of the "bump" ? Pix of wet tee shirt contest? Steve Lewis: come on, tell how we were all on the wrong line! I spent the weekend bitching about the heat and still had a good time. We didn't bring the Mini, so I had David as my very own pit bunny - I could get used to having crew. Now I need to find some strong teenager who is enamored of old British saloons & will work for booze & brownies. I didn't get to visit much because of the return road format & I was just too hot to pit hop in the evening. On a serious note: thanks isn't a strong enough word for Cannon, Nelson,R ick, Larry, Kurt, John etc & all the corner workers. The drivers get a break between runs but I can't imagine how bad it was to be an official/worker. Don't know why you " do-what-you-do" but I'm very grateful to all. Sue

Yes, a great job done by all. You are especially commended for the nice soft hay bales you provided.

I was going to be polite and not mention the " Charmin" squeezably soft hay bales. Better than the guardrail you kissed in 2010? Sue

Almost as dramatic but the results are so much easier to deal with.

I messed up somehow. It seems that on the results for Polish that I sent out the points only went to Giant's. If you want a copy with the current points email me and I will send you one.

Looking for pictures from Polish Mountain.
I am not a reporter, but I do like to put a nice write up about the events.
I need photos from Polish Mountain, either send them to me, give me a link to download from, anything.
I was a little pre-occupied with my car to take any.
I need some new ones of George Bowland since he won FTD, but others are needed.
