SCCA Inspection in Richmond VA?

Post by jesfromric »

Anyone know of a good SCCA inspector in the Richmond, VA area?

Someone willing to work with me so I can learn?

Not just a pass/fail sort of thing?

Thanks

First, beome familiar with the GCR and time trial rules especially as they pertain to your vehicle and the classification it falls under.

You may want to contact the ODR or WDC Region to find out who may live close by that could help quide you.

I am sure knowledgable PHA tech inspectors can answer most of your questions right here on this forum.
Remember a road racing inspection is a bit more detailed than a time trial/hillclimb inspection, so if in doubt of what your future racing plans are, follow the road racing rules set.
Don't forget about personal safety gear, fire suppression and licensing.

Hi John,

There are a few of us that do tech that are always willing to help. I don't think anyone lives that far south though. Most of our rules are condensed into the PHA Supplemental rules which can be found here: http://pahillclimb.org/wp-content/uploa ... h-2014.pdf We sometimes have rules that are slightly more restrictive than SCCA especially for cars modified beyond Street Mod rules. Ask away and we should be able to help.
