EFI Fuel Regulator

Post by Mazdahead »

Anyone have a preference for EFI fuel pressure regulators?
They are usually much higher pressure, looking for like 0 - 50 or up to 70 PSI.
I found out that the regulator I had, which was a 0 - 50 PSI is the wrong type.
It goes down in pressure with vaccum, where EFI needs the opposite.
I always learn the hard way, cost me an engine this time!

That's the one I am using. I set it at 40psi + with the vaccum off and it drops to 35 or 36 or something with the vaccum attached. If I am correct, it goes up 2 psi per lb of boost so at 0 vaccum it's back to 40psi and at 12psi on the blower, it's at 54psi....maybe a bit more.

Not sure what the deal is on your car but that's what I'm using. Hopefully it helps a little.
RIP Joe, my friend.

Must go faster!!!!
