SPRING JEFFERSON TECH INSPECTION

Post by Joe Foering »

Competitors:
Memorial Day Weekend at the Jefferson Circuit is too soon here (next weekend) and it's Annual Tech Inspection time!
If you want an Annual Tech, make sure you and your vehicle are ready. Here are a few items that you need to complete the tech.: All vehicles must have a COMPLETED Log Book (photos, car specs, etc.) in order to get an Ann.Tech. If you don't have one, we can supply you with one. Make sure your logbook and tech sheet are filled out BEFORE you come to tech. Make sure your safety harness is current, that you have an SA2000 or newer Helmet and that you meet the helmet to Main Hoop distance rule when seated and that you have all your safety gear with you. If you have a camera, it must be mounted. If your class requires a KILL SWITCH, it must be functional. A properly mounted window net (drop from the top) or Arm Restraints are necessary. You can see what will be checked during the Inspection by going to Sec. 9 in the TTR (2008 apply 'til the 2009 are available). If you have any questions, please contact me at 610-944-9515 or at jaf37@verizon.net or by pm to this site. Remember that proper car classing is your responsibility, and you should have the necessary documents to prove your proper classing if questioned. One request, please be patient with tech. We will get to you as soon as the number of tech inspectors permit. Let's have a great season!
