Re: Time Trial on Shenandoah Circuit at summit Halloween weekend

As for a new race series. I like the idea but I'm not completely sold on getting enough participants to make it feasible. We have NJMP event, the WDCR event, and hopefully a Beaverun event next year already. We just need the regions to get together and discuss the possibility of a series. It could ...

Re: noise control

There was a Formula Mazda running with us at Jefferson. It went very fast and was not particularly loud. FYI - the 13B Renisis motor (from a RX-8) used in this Formula car is very diferent from the older RX-2 thru RX-7 mtoors. It has totally different exhaust port design which make it sound differe...

Re: Turn 2 @ Duryea

No experience with EVO's or WRX's, but it looks like diff lock up (center and the rear dif). This has been what happens to 4wd trucks when you lock the center diff and run a locker in the rear and try to turn with power. It binds up then lets loose causing the truck to bounce around.

Showers at Polish

E-mail I sent to Dave Williams (Cumberland contact). Dave, I had an idea yesterday and wanted to run it past you. Every year the hillclimb has had HOT weather and wearing a drivers suit and equipment makes for a very sweaty day. For the many people that participate in the event and camp out, can the...

Conformation for Jefferson?

Sent my registration in a while ago. Did anyone get a conformation that your registration was received? I am used to using the MyAutoEvents.com, sending it snail mail was weird.

Hope it made it because I'm packing up the last bit of stuff tonight.

Later :D

Re: When are we allowed into Jefferson?

I was planning to get on the road about noon on Friday and get there by 2 and watch whatever racing they have on the main track and relax a bit and have a cold one or six. Just need to check out some stuff on the trailer tonight and I should be ready to go. See ya all there!

Re: Farewell to THE HERSHEY HILLCLIMB

I got the e-mail also. I will miss that event. :( It was a nice pre-season event that was fun for the drivers and spectators. I would meet a lot of people I had not seen all winter at this event. My wife really like it also since it was close (to us) , easy to watch and had a nice dinner. Glad I got...

Re: The NEW and IMPROVED DURYEA HILLCLIMB

I'd hate to be the run group up the hill after someone hits 100 gallons or more of water possibly washing down the road. Tires would be my choice. That rail looks great for production cars, but Formula and Sports Racers drivers look like they may be seriously injured if they contact that unprotected...

I thought they just repaved that road a year or two ago. What did they use, oatmeal to pave it?

Re: MPG?

At jefferson I go through 5 gallons for 3 sessions. That is 12 laps, 1.1 miles each. So 13.2miles/5 gallons= 2.64mpg.

Hills are worse!
At least it is only 87 octane cheap gas I burn :D

On the street I get about 16-18 mpg.
