Weather

Stan,

I posted a few notes in a separate topic. I was there on Sat. and the weather was good (no rain, cloudy at times, hazy sun). I was 30 miles away on Sunday but think the weather should have been okay (unless they got a shower during the wee hours of Sunday morning).

Duryea Pictures

As expected, there were a lot of cars there on Saturday and it was neat to see a lot of new cars and drivers. Unfortunately, that meant only two runs (90 minutes/run) which limited my locations. I was in turn 2 for run #1 and, after lunch, found Haag Rd. at the Fire Tower for run #2. I think everyon...

I'm planning to be there on Sat. to take some pictures but with 120 entries, you racers will fill-up my 1GB flash card! Sounds like fun.

Re: Mark's Run

Tim, Thanks for not taking us for a ride in 5. Regarding Mark's run, I was looking through the small viewfinder and the next thing you know, he was up on the side as you can see. Really don't know how he ended up on two wheels but there was nothing too out of the ordinary before that. It seemed like...

Steve,

Not sure about how many cars but you can count them :-) See my separate post. I didn't see any times so I'll let others comment.

Ursala asked where you were and I informed her about your post, indicating you had to work :-(

Rose Valley Pictures

Made the long trip to Rose Valley for Saturday and it was well worth it to see you folks run. The weather was so much better than last year! Last year, my car wiring/dist. got wet and I was stuck for a while in someone's yard at the bottom of the hill. Then, at the end of the day, I got stuck in the...

Re: Best way from Allentown area

I read the suggestions here, looked at a map, and came up with a slight variation from the Allentown area. I took Rt. 476N (Northeast Extension) to Rt. 209S into Jim Thorpe. Then Rt. 93 towards Hazelton (same way I go to Weatherly). Just before entering Hazelton, I spotted a "To 81" sign a...

Giant Despair Pictures

At the beginning of last week, it sounded from the weather that it would be quite wet. I'm glad the weather was much better than the initial forecast. Glad at least Sat. was a safe event. The crowd in the elbow seemed very quiet. I've posted a bunch of pictures at http://www.enter.net/~tdu/Places/Hi...

Pagoda Pictures

I made to the Pagoda hillclimb on Sat. and had a good time like usual watching everyone on the hill. Hope everyone had a safe day as I left around 2:30 for a family event. I took about 180 pictures and posted most of them at http://www.enter.net/~tdu/Places/Hillclimb/index.html . Like Weatherly, thi...

re: year

You are probably right that I should add a year. So far, I leave the pictures there for one year and then replace them with the new set. (I need to remove Hershey since I missed that event this year. Didn't realize it was so early in the year.)

Spring Weatherly Pictures

I made to Weatherly on Sat. and had a good time like usual watching everyone on the hill. I didn't get drenched running down from turn 5 like last year! Saw a few new cars which was nice. My kids remember Weatherly for the great food, which is very reasonably priced, as well as the neat hill (The Wa...
