Hillclimbers at the Cumberland Historics
As some of you may know, the Cumberland group that does such a great job with the Polish Mountain Hillclimb, holds monthly time trials on the same runways that formally held SCCA National races in the 50s and 60s. Dave, Joe and I attended the Cumberland Historics event this past weekend and did very...

Wolf Ridge Hillclimb report
Well since we are sitting here in our luxurious mountain cabins watching the rain fall, I thought I'd give you a report. First of all we had one set of untimed runs Saturday morning and then the rains set in. George and I have the two quickest times but they were "untimed but really were timed ...

Re: Farewell to THE HERSHEY HILLCLIMB
I always enjoyed it and really appreciated it's history. I my opinion the organizers could never decide if it was a true vintage event or a current hillclimb. There is a difference. I'm very sorry to see it go as it was a great place to visit with the family.

Re: Approved PHA classes
Looks better, are we going to continue Super Vee as a class? The air-cooled rules have been dropped from the GCR for a few years and the water cooled cars are classed as Atlantics. I also think we can drop Pre-War, that was mostly an exhibition class that I created for the Vintage/Historic rules, n...

Re: Hill / Class Records
BTW the Ariel Atom folks have moved their HQ to the industrial park at VIR last year. I'm hoping they do one of those "racing experience" ride along deals. A lap or two in one of these would be an education for the average man.

Blueridge Hillclimb video
For those of you who never got to see the DVD we produced a few years ago of the 2005 Blueridge Hillclimb, here it is. I'm listed as executive producer since I set it up but Jim and Shannon Haltom did all the filming, editing and printing to DVD. After Jim sold a few he downloaded the entire 1 hour ...

Re: Ideas for a short promotional Video of the PHA...
I've finally found the "preview video" for the full length feature DVD that Jim Haltom did back in 2005 for us for the Blue Ridge Hillclimb. This will give you a good idea of his work. Keep in mind that this was his first effort at doing one of these and his later work was even better. htt...

Gang, you have a rare and special person here in Dave Williams. Rarely will you find a professional media guy who also understands motorsport. This guy makes and has made his living in marketing and promotion and has an amazing track record. Listen carefully to his ideas. He knows how to do this. (D...

Morgan don't worry so much. We would hardly dent a guard rail in our little 950 lb. cars. I'd much rather face that than those cables, any day.Mwilson wrote:DELETED

Re: Occupations...what do you do?
I'm a fourth generation cotton ginner. We operate what we believe to be the oldest continuously operated cotton gin in Noth Carolina with a continuous history going back to 1885. We are currently operating at our third site which opened in 1961 when I was 13. I will be the last of the family involve...
