Re: verbal abuse
I started this thread on a very negative note. Let me attempt to turn things around. First, I’d like to apologize for jumping to conclusions without knowing the real facts. Naming the thread “Verbal Abuse” was an overstatement. While I do feel that things could have been handled differently, there w...

Re: petite Le Mans
Sometimes, things don't go the way that you expect them to go. The thread was about Level 5 and their bid to win the ALMS Championship, which they did. The problem was, nobody knows or cares. The ABC coverage of the event was so poor (that's my own humble opnion) that the LMP2 story and standings th...

Re: petite Le Mans
The race is broadcast live on ESPN3 on Saturday and re-broadcast Sunday on ABC at 4:00 PM. I"m suprised you have any time to worry about people outside the PHA. I thought being the protector of good in the PHA would be a full time job. PS. How is your fight against verbal abuse going? Jer, I'm ...

For anyone who has interest outside of the PHA, one of our members, Aaron Yeager has been very involved with this race team in several of there endevors. Last week, team owner Scott Tucker, won a third straight SCCA National Championship in STO. The team has entered a new Honda powered LMP2 prototyp...

Re: verbal abuse
Note: I will return to the subject of this thread after I get more info. Not to be snarky or anything, but this is always a good idea. It is an even better idea to do this before posting in the first place. Grace I admit I was wrong, Grace, to jump to conclusions. The only thing I can say is that I...

Re: verbal abuse
Friday night meeting is an outstanding idea for pure novices, getting log books etc. We already require them to be there to get their cars teched. Why not start the instructional side of it. Every hill that we run has a number of videos made by drivers that could be shown for instruction (if we can ...

Re: verbal abuse
As I have repeatedly said in the past, issues involving individuals should be communicated in a private manner, not on the forum. Relating to the training of new drivers (curriculum and instruction), the most effective approach is through actual experience. Many involved in education, refer to teac...

Re: verbal abuse
Sorry, but I think I have confused and mixed messages with my last posting. The sliding and crash was not intended to be, or included with the accusations of mistreating a driver. I believe I did not make myself clear enough and perhaps the the veiled comments were not specific enough about giving p...

I am no Poobah, but if the incident involved a novice, I would like to know, because I will follow up. John, I’m not sure this is the time or place to bring it up but in may pertain to a novice mistake. I have always questioned the procedures for getting a Novice Permit and finally a TT license. Pl...

Re: verbal abuse
I agree with you Sue. Someone complained to someone and they talked to me. They were not the drivers, just bystanders who thought the conflict was not justified. I reacted quickly because I thought it was being ignored. I need to get my facts straight. Everybody needs to understand, you don't have t...

I withdrew my original comments and will get a better understanding after talking to those actually involved. I will get back to this thread after I'm sure I have the facts straight.

Re: Summit Point Raceway, rain or shine?
The wet line is usually outside the dry line so maybe it is in fact accurate. Either way, it probably looks better the way it is shown for artistic effect. Very Cool any way you look at it.FV195 wrote:Dave, linda just paints it as she sees it. they were off line, looking for dry spots on the track

Beautifull Linda, I'd be interested in a print. I realize it's art so I won't comment on all the cars being off the driving line and missing the apex. Dave Y

Morg is right, you all deserve better. The update from Duryea has been sent to Dale. As always, it is an open spread sheet that can be updated by any one who wants to do it. As of this submission, I am resigning as points keeper. Please contact Tom Knorr if you want to volunteer to take over. I'm su...

You da man, Ron. Great job for VW's and PHA. Although your picture makes you look a little like Uncle Fester. Then again who else would race a "Notch"?

It's just a number, right Jer. It's what you do with it that counts. By the way, I thought your concession response to Merlin on the racepa site was far more poetic than the one you left here. (I was trying to figure out how to work in other parts of the song like "Fire on the Mountain".) ...

Re: apology?
Isn't the claim of Merlin having 700HP a little exagerated? Not making any statements here (not yet anyhow), just looking for clarrification. Outstanding job on the article Bob. That deserves a reprint on other sites. Why isn't it posted here? (or am I missing it?). I am surprised at Mike's ...
