Re: Impact Racing Product Recall
Dave, Do you wear a Drag Racing suit? They are the only ones "impacted" on by the recall (see Impact website).

Re: Proposals for PHA meeting
Gee, I hoped to say something about tech; I hope Tom has time for all this on the agenda. Anyway, don't forget the tech seminar after the meeting.

Re: Impact Racing Product Recall
Steve, I certainly agree about being on the same page and that's why I hold a tech seminar at the beginning of the season-so that all tech inspectors are on the same page when it comes to teching cars and gear. I read your initial post and went to the Impact site; it will be one of the topics at the...

Re: Impact Racing Product Recall
A notice on the Impact site says this applies to DRAG Racing Suits /15 and /20 so it shouldn't affect us.

Re: Impact Racing Product Recall
I visited the Impact site because of the "impact" this could have on tech inspection, and there is a statement that says this applies to Drag Racing suits only w/ a value of 15 and 20, not 5; so, this shouldn't effect us.

2009 TECH INSPECTION SEMINAR
I intend to hold a Tech Inspection Seminar after the PHA meeting on 4/11/09 at Susquehanna Motorsports at the corner of Franklin and Locust Sts. in Fleetwood. Anyone interested in being part of the Tech. Insp. Team for the 2009 season must attend this seminar (or advise me beforehand why they can't ...

Re: New Class Undeclared
SCCA no longer has a RALLY class so it no longer has a set of rules. I believe "Rallye America" or something to that effect runs pro-type rallys now. SUSQUEHANNA MOTORSPORTS (610-944-3233), Dave and Will Sekella, should be able to help you out with obtaining a set of rules. My understandin...

Re: New Class Undeclared
Dave, I'm curious as to who the "officials" are you asked before responding to Bill's questions about classing for his cars.

Re: Trouble with this site??????????
Ever since the index disappeared for a few days I have not been receiving notifications of posts on the topics I am following; can't this be corrected. I tried reregistering but I'm already registered. HELP!

Re: New Class Undeclared
The PHA decision to move all forced-induction cars from Street Prepared to Street Mod has been rescinded and all forced-induction cars are to run in the classes assigned them in the SOLO rules; look in the SOLO rules under the class listings in Street Prepared for your car and that is where it will ...

Re: 2009 Ann. Tech. Insp.
I remember speaking with both Rich Rock and Dave Yeager about the Porsche in question and the fact that a protest should be lodged, but I seem to remember a reluctance to file a protest... (these conversations occurred around the start line at the end of the day). When, finally, that decision was ma...

2009 Ann. Tech. Insp.
As Matt R. pointed out, who better should know the legality of a car than the drivers competing against it in class. I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of the entrant to be able to prove the eligibility of his car for the class he enters. He should be able to prove that his vehicle is in...

Re: Annual Tech get together?
Adam, I have asked the event registrars in the past and usually been successful -with some exceptions- in having those tech. insp. who were competing registered first. I would like to try that again this year, but it requires the guys to be there before reg. opens.

Re: Annual Tech get together?
I got back from vac. last evening. Sounds like a viable idea to me. I need to know more about the logistics of the event and sites at the event for a possible tech seminar and actual teching. I also need to know who is going to be part of the tech team this year; I had hoped to bring this up on this...

John's idea of having a road race tech insp check your car is valid, but we will check your car again and issue you a TIME TRIALS logbook for our events. As per our PMs, I look forward to talking to you..

I'd say it's a toss-up between Morg and Al Corrazo, but don't discount Jim Oswald's flaming jump.
