Yeah, I remember not making Pagoda the one year because it was the weekend Brook graduated from college (mid-May).
I also remember working turn-around at Weatherly and having to stop runs for snow...

Guys- PLEASE don't assume you know the schedule. At this point, nothing has been done about including Snowshoe in the schedule for next year. Also, several events are impacted by local community issues and cannot be moved and such. I am removing the schedule from Jeff's post because I do NOT want it...

So ya REALLY think you want to hillclimb...
A must-watch for any newbie.
Thank god we don't run in Europe.
BTW- a few bewares- #1- it's a LONG download. #2- I heard there are a few adult-type situations later in the vid. I didn't watch it ALL yet, since it's 1.5hrs total...

OK, here's how it goes. Full cages are required in GT1, Formula, Sports Racer, Specials, and open-topped Production and GT cars. IF you must run a cage, it need to meet current GCR specs. If your class does not require a full cage, you may use at minimum a bar meeting the Roll Bar specs, and going u...

Questions to be raised: 1. Who is Nelson's back up for timing. Should he not attend for some reason who can do that job. Who does the timing equipment belong to and would it still be available if Nelson or BMR doesn't want to play any more? 2. Rick seems to be our resident electrical genius and tak...

To that end, I can say one other thing- Basing protective equipment on elapsed times at our events is NOT an option, since it would open us up to more liability than most people in this discussion can possibly imagine. Can you expand on that please? I'm not challenging you, just trying to learn. Al...

OK, here's the deal. Roll bars and cages are governed by the TTR. You need to refer to that rule set in order to find out which cars need bars versus cages. For any car that is only required a bar but chooses to run a cage, they may use either the roll bar or cage specs for tubing sizes, and they do...

Matt G, I'm surprised you haven't stepped in on the cage issue? Can you tell us the direction of SCCA as it appies to TT at Level 4? Dave Y. I'd prefer not to comment on that at this time, since it's not being discussed at the National level at this point. Those who know me know I have some very st...

Matt, I would think coming up with a way to pay the workers could open a whole can of worms (snip) Believe me Steve, I understand. I was just simply contributing a few thoughts in hopes that we might get a more realistic view of what the situation is. I am in no way proposing that we pay workers in...

The next BMR meeting is on Wed the 20th at 7pm at the Works in Wyomissing. Go to http://www.gearedforfun.com for directions. I typically try to get an agenda out before the meeting on the BMR forums, but have not always done so. If you'd like to come an discuss the issue, we can make sure we have a ...

Re: Solutions for shortened events
The Worker: the worker should be there to enjoy the event by working. Sounds silly but there is a whole group of people that really do enjoy working at events. A job well done, the commardairie, the food, the cars competing and the festive nature of the event is why they come out. They should be re...

Yes, it was Tom and Garth, and I can tell you from working pit out that it worked really well. I'm not sure why that system wasn't implemented at this event, but it probably had to do with no one taking the initiative to step up and coordinate it. Granted, that system doesn't solve all the issues wi...

Re: Solutions for shortened events
Drivers drive, workers work, and organizers organize. The only issue with that is that we have a lot of overlap, sometimes even within events. Most of our core worker and officials are former drivers. There are very few people who work all or most of the events who don't try to get some time in a c...

Re: Sent home early from Jefferson...
Matt I don't believe a drivers meeting would have been irrevalent. While it may not have provided a useful solution it would have given all the drivers a chance to know that a decision of this magnatude was being made and what that decision was and more important... why. As it was the drivers were ...
