Re: Could use some rule interpretation for time trials

The GT Specs say the largest permitted wheel in GT3 is 15X7 unless the cars spec sheet lists something larger.

Re: Entry lists for Hillclimb events.

In the golden age of hill climbing to which all the OFs keep referring, all that professional looking printed stuff was coming straight out of Zerox. I'm not sure if they knew they were sponsoring us or not.

Was there going to be an announcement as to the date for the first PHA meeting of the year?

Re: 2012 Hillclimb Poster Car

Rich,
I have a picture of the car at Weatherly turn three. The file is about 5 meg. That might be big enough.

Re: my cars history

I don't see a diagonal bar in there. When that car was raced, it would have passed tech that way. I think the rule changed in '71 after an Opel Rallye Cadet rolled at Fleetwood and the bar folded over.

Re: my cars history

I am working from results sheets sent to entrants after events were run. The information given borders on being cryptic. One did list his car number as being 85. We didn't have reserved numbers at that time. None of the results listed the year of the car.

Re: my cars history

I see a Doug Moorhouse coming 3rd in A/S at Hershey in '69. At Tuscarora Mountain a Douglas Moorhouse entered a Camaro Z-28 but did not set a time. At Giants Despair a Doug Morhouse of Upper Montclair, N.J. came 5th of 6 in A Sedan with a Z-28. And again at Topton. That was all I saw. I don't think ...

We all knew about these rules and do not consider them to be a simplification.

Re: Date??

Yes, that Tommy Van Scoy. He was quite friendly with all and sundry and told a good story as I recall. He only ran with us a couple years. I don't know if he went on in road racing or simply hung it up.

Re: Newbie with a couple questions

As it sits, the car would run in one of the Street Prepared classes. A roll bar would be legal but a cage would be better. The belts need SFI labels. If you don't use a window net, arm restraints are required. They go out of date in five years so make sure they are fresh with the latest date possible...

Re: Date??

The first car is that of Tommy Van Scoy, who ran with us for a couple years. I show him running a March 81A Formula Atlantic in 1989 but the numbers don't match. Ah, there he is in 1988 when he finished second to Jerry Coffee with a 1:54.632. The yellow car is the Superoo now in Ron Mann's stable. I...

If it was run as a regularity event you could just run laps. Seeing how short it is and all.
