Duryea

Just a note to say thanks to all that put on the event. Had we not got shut down for the time that we did we deffinitely would have got another run in. That was indeed no fault of ours. I was very impressed that the city came in before the event and ran the street sweeper it made for a very clean co...

Tim you are indeed the man. If you were to get paid for all the hard work you did you could probably retire. An outstanding job. Just don't get to happy about this compliment because I still owe you a few digs from this past weekend. Get ready. Thanks again Tim for everything and see you in Rose Val...

Giants 2005 a BIG Success

A hardy thanks to all who put on Giants. The Dankos, Both Matts, Rick and Nelson, Jim Cosner, J.W., Jennifer, the nice people at turn-around and to all the corner workers that stood in that awful heat so we could play. I know all the drivers truly do appreciate all your efforts. I have been told tha...

3-day event

Nelson, You bring out some interesting problems that I never thought about. My only concern primarily was to not turn new people away if we can avoid it. I do understand the problem with parking and pitting at Duryea and can see where you have no choice but to limit the amount of cars running. I gue...

3 day events

My opinion is that No one should be turned away. We are trying to promote Hillclimbing and turning anyone away would be in poor taste. When we only have 40 or 50 cars running and the event looses big bucks then we wish there would be more cars. Maybe we could look into getting a rider on the insuran...

Also forgot to tell you in my last post that someone on Friday night poured oil over the road at the elbow. The road was cleaned but still was a bit slick. This was part of the problem with some of the cars spinning out. The police said if they found out who did "the dirty deed", they were...

You ask if there is something you should know. Just one thing. Pay close attention to what Jim Cosner tells you in the novice orientation. You are fortunate that Jim decided to do the Novice orientation despite his health problems. He will tell you ALL you need to know to run the Giant.

Great Jefferson Event

Just a gratitude of thanks to all involved with the Jefferson Event. To the entire Danko family for the great food and especially the fantastic "BIRCH BEER." To both Matt's and all the workers who did a superb job as usual. To Nelson and Rick who as usual gave 110%. And Tim who did an outs...

Hershey Hillclimb

First let me say that Hershey is not part of the PHA series. My Club, the svvscc ran the event. Saturday was a really wet day and many of the smart people choose not to run. Second although there were some glitches many of us feel the event went well. I think we are spoiled by how well the PHA event...

I think John has a great idea. Maybe I could get Budweiser to sponsor an event and we could have the "BUD" Girls present the awards. Seriously a major sponsor would help relieve some of the financial burden and it may draw more people to the event. GREAT IDEA JOHN.

Jefferson which way?

Why don't we run clockwise the first hour, then counter clockwise the second hour. If the second hour runs into lunch then we flip a coin to see what direction we run in the afternoon. Heads counter clockwise, Tails clockwise. If its heads we run counterclockwise for a half hour then clockwise the n...

Annual inspections

Matt, Sorry I didn't make myself clear enough. I realize that annual inspections donot have anything to do with Autocross techs. My point was we are trying to schedule autocross events and donot want to schedule an autocross the same day as an annual tech for PHA. Many of the autocross events will m...

Annual inspection

Have any decisions been made on a date and place for annual inspections. I was told it might be in the Reading area sometime in April. It would be nice to know ahead of time so arrangements could be made. Any information would be greately appreciated. The various autocross schedules start in April a...

Hershey Hillclimb

Tim, At our last meeting we were told they took care of the water problem in the pit areas. They found a pipe that went under the road and right into the pit area. They re routed that pipe. They also widened the roads into the pit areas and also did some extensive paving on the hill. Widened some tu...

Uploading Pictures to the Album.

Have been trying to upload pictures since Friday night. I get some type of error message for a second then it dissapears. I also talked with Sue Salsburg and she also could not post any pictures. Matt Rowe e-mailed me and said they were having problems. When everything is up and running someone drop...
