Re: More PHA in politics

Not your typical finish for Merlin Miller in the Presidential race. Out of 10 candidates on the NJ ballot, Merlin got only 609 votes so far to finish 9th. I don't think late incoming results will boost him too much. Hey, at least he wasn't last.

Re: Want to start hill climbing

Been there, done that. Have one or two class Championships. Can't remember, too long ago. I have come to like classes with strict rules that give a more level playing field. More emphisis on driver skills, although I do respect ones skills in wringing out as much performance as possible out of any c...

Re: Want to start hill climbing

Thanks Steve for pointing that out. "You can show up with a 1000 HP" and run with a roll bar?

What, you don't think I pay attention?

More PHA in politics

I know I have not posted for a while. But this is the eve before the election and there is something I need to share with you. I don't think you would find it surprising to hear that I don't tend to follow main stream logic on most issues. This applies to politics as well. I am not your typical vote...

WELL, he may be a little jaded. I get excited and he just seems to take it as it comes. As I was trying to explain. He didn't think to tell me he was going in the first place.

Re: PHA member returns to Sebring 12hr

I sent a text message to Aaron yesterday to see if I could come to Reading to take him out for his Birthday dinner. He calls me back this morning and says, " uhhhh I'm in France ". WHAT? Anyway, at least one of our members gets to be involved with the 24 Hours of Le Mans or 24 Heur...

Re: PHA member returns to Sebring 12hr

It's such a shame that we aren't connected to NASCAR. I guess it's the only way you get any TV time. The 60th Anniversary of the 1st FIA endurace race in America that is being held at Sebring is not being covered on any main stream channel. Maybe that is indicative of the PHA. Very little recognitio...

An interview with Christophe Bouchut. That's Arron in the background. They start as 1st in class.

Re: New to Hill Climb Saying hello!

Welcome Taku. I would like to recommend that you get your car teched or at least looked at by someone knowledgeable. There is no Mod class in hillclimbs. It will have to meet current SCCA F500 specifications or run as Specials. Roll cage construction including height is critical as well as current b...

He'd have a better shot at getting Scott Tucker's Sports Racer that he is running at the Runnoffs this year.

PHA member returns to Sebring 12hr

Once again, Aaron Yeager, BMR member and PHA competitor has been contracted to support Level 5 Motorsports at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Three time SCCA National Champion and the 2011 LMP2 Champion team owner Scott Tucker, has recruited Aaron to temporary assist the team for their two car LMP2 entries...

Re: Last SCCA NEDIV race of the season

Hmmmm, not many PHA people interested. Joe Specht was there supporting TREAD ZONE....mounting tires etc. Rich Rock was there to support Carl Hindeman and Bob Marx in ITA and me in H/P. Thank you Rich. Gordan Wise was there with his often recognized as "most attractive" E/P RX7. So nobody c...

Once again Ron, you have done an outstanding job and we a so lucky that you have taken on the monumental task of club historian. I know this a labor of love for you, but Thank You anyway for your hard work. I'm amazed at the stuff you come up with. Never knew about Bill and Volvo's.

Wait a minute! Is that the car Craig Danks sold? I'm sure he has some knowledge of the History. I can put you in touch with him easy.

What's up with the Bill Rutan signature? He's a VW guy not a Volvo nerd! That's a whole different story.

Re: Hello, History of John Flannery's Volvo PV544

I think that John ran more than just PHA Hillclimbs. My memory is clouded but I think he ran in the Reading Road Races when they were at the Reading Airport. Why not contact John himself? He is a very open and friendly. I don't have any current contact information but it wouldn't take much to get it...

Last SCCA NEDIV race of the season

The last road race for the Northeast Division is this coming weekend at NJMP. If anyone has any desire to attend, go to the link below. Admission as a spectator is only $1.00. If you want to be a volunteer, it will be free. I am hoping a couple of PHA members will be competing. If anyone shows up, t...
