Re: Spring Jefferson

I'll vote for CCW since I haven't run that direction yet.

Re: 2015 Duryea

This was my first time back at Duryea since 2006 and my first hillclimb in 5 years. I've really missed it and seeing so many old friends. It was really quite a battle for the lead in H3 all weekend and except for my broken throttle cable I think it would have gone on until the end. Congrats to Ted K...

Re: 2015 Spring Jefferson

I had a great time after a 5 year absence. It was good to see so many old friends. I've missed you guys. Here's a video of my quickest run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pgPB8MnvO0

Re: Fall Jefferson

Dave, I've been away for awhile. My SCCA membership and TT license has expired but want to run at least one event this year. I had my SCCA physical this week. So my question is, can I just come up next Friday and sign up for this event? Seems there is a single event / trial membership available. Tha...

Ryan Dunn?

Due to their interest in fast cars and the fact they lived in southeastern PA, did any of the crew of the "Jackass" series (including the late Ryan Dunn) ever enter one of the hillclimbs? It just seems like something they would try if they knew about it, given the daredevil aspect they pro...

Well we are the home to most NASCAR teams and a few road race teams (Trans Am, Grand Am) and we once had a Formula One team. :(

First time I'd had a chance to read this, although I had heard how great it was. You have more talent than we know my good friend. We'll see you in 2010!

New venue in North Carolina

Hey gang it's spring finally! So good to be finished with a long winter. Yes I know how bad you guys in southern PA had it. I just wanted to let you know we've got a new venue opening in northeastern NC just 28 miles from my home. It's the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR). It is...

Re: Time Trial on Shenandoah Circuit at summit Halloween weekend

I'll second everything Dave said. With transponders and pods you can get as much seat time in one day as we normally get all weekend. You don't get to rest or BS as much though. :) They did 8 / 20 minute sessions last year at Savannah. I had spent so much on race gas and tire wear I had to stop at n...

How about a "Most miles driven to the hillclimbs" I believe our own G Bowland would easily win that one. It would be 10,000 or more I bet.

Re: The Kings of Duryea...

Was reading a 1957 Duryea program and it states, "A replica of the John Negley Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the driver whose car records the fastest time of the day. His name will be engraved on the permanent trophy and he will keep it for one year." Is this thing still around somew...

Re: Polish Mt High

Well said George. There are always so many people to thank for these events but I did notice Mike everywhere. I use to handle one high speed airport autocross event each year for about six years and it helped me appreciate how much goes into these things. I was always stressed out for months after. ...

Re: Perseids at Polish Mtn.

Mary Anne,
We all missed you, Chuck, and that little orange auto up at Polish Mountain. This was our third hillclimb of 2009 and the first one to feature dry weather both days. A nice turnout and fun times at Flintstone as always. See you soon I hope.

Re: Eagle's Nest?

I know John will get quicker with the Moreck car as he dials it in and becomes more familar with it. He had only driven it twice before the hillclimb on a runway and we only had three timed runs on Saturday due to getting rained out Sunday. They were still doing fuel mapping between runs. John is a ...
