Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

Gracie, How do the rental transponders attach to the car. I will need to rent one and don't have many convenient places to attach things. Ken Ken, Summit point may sell the plastic holder (inexpensive) that clamps onto the transponder. The holder can be fastened to the tub or you can fabricate a br...

Nelson,

The results show class FM car #94 as an Euro-Swift.
I sold the Euro-Swift last fall. I don't think it would to a 53 with me driving
The car is actually a Formula Mazda.

Thanks

Re: Jefferson

John, I agree. It would be hard to allow limited passing on the Jefferson Circuit and not have problems with getting a clean lap. I like the idea and maybe doing it on the Shenandoah Circuit would make it workable. I know the Shenandoah Circuit rental is higher, but I don't think a small increase in...

Re: Test Day? - or early season TT

Thor,
We are having the same weather here. I am over it.
There is a SEdivTT scheduled for the end of February at CMP but unless the weather warms up I'm staying close to the fire..

Joe, do they allow single seaters at that PDX? I could use the seat time in my new car.

Re: Boo-hoo the season's over, or is it?

The Solo track trial is planned for 11/7-8/09. Roebling Roads is about 20 minutes north of Savannah. I believe it is about 700 miles from Carlisle. The track of a bit over 2 miles and they do start / finish the way we do at the Jefferson circuit. The track is fast....all top gear in a FV. Pit areas...

Re: Turkey Bowl XI

I'm going to watch. The "Midget" isn't very vintage eligible and I don't have a W2W liscence. I did flag the event one year at turn 1, what a hoot! Had one group of 40 or so Legends cars filling out the schedule- that was an exciting start and scramble into T1! Looking forward to going, m...

Hello Dave, You are right on about "......Schedule it and they will come". The "regulars" know the about the events and the kind of fun and atmosphere there is to be had, but over time some will look to other things for a variety of reasons. New competitors are out there, but you...

Re: road trip anyone?

Hello Thor, It must be nice to head to warmer climates when the weather turns cold. I am done for the season - I need to work on the car, Stan is in to Ginning season and working crazy hours. I have not spoken to George in a bit so I am not sure if he has called it a season. I want to get down there...

Re: Shenandoah Circuit question?

I heard there are plans to nearly double the size of the Jefferson Circuit in the near future. If that is true, I am sure there will be an increase in rental fees. It may be interesting to take a poll to find out if a sufficient number of people would support events with higher registration fees and...

Re: Schedule of Events - link error

Dave: Saw a really nice looking FSV http://race-cars.com/carsales/ralt/1211987959/1211987959ss.htm that is tempting, but I can hardly drive the sports racer, much less a car with ground effects. BTW, Millville NJ is just 230 miles and a ferry ride from Va Beach. I already registered for the Saturda...

OK Morg, You opened the door for this! Finish the "Ground Hog Story". Joe, What kind of question was that? The weather is in the low 70's with a gentle southerly breeze, the birds are chirping, and the beach is loaded with beautiful young women getting a start on their summer tan. Don't ya...

Re: Thoughts of a new Season

Keep the prose coming, Morg!! Maybe PHA needs to start a literary section for the website for such works of genius. Heck, if you compile them you may find a publisher and could set up a book signing at registration and pay for your entry fee from the proceeds. :) Well, on second thought, bring your ...
