Re: 2011 Class Champions
If you factor in the "drop two" rule, or only count the best 6 events, the results in CSP will change. I could be wrong.

Re: verbal abuse
A number of folks have commented that the "right line" should be taught. Well, I would rather show a video of some of the destroyed cars from over zealous beginners. I do not believe my position is to teach how to go faster, rather it is how to work up to going fast in the safest possible ...

Re: verbal abuse
I appreciate the commentary on novices qualifying for a license. I believe it is really too easy to show up and run three events. On the other hand, I do issue a fair number of unsat ratings for what I deem driver error. But, to step it up a bit may required a classroom session or two before the dri...

I am no Poobah, but if the incident involved a novice, I would like to know, because I will follow up.

Re: Points
Dave, You missed Keith Bower's 4 place at Polish so he is 7 points short. He made the first run, and then noticed a crack in his intake manifold and the raw fuel dribbling onto his engine...wisely he parked it for the rest of the event. But he did finish a run. And, I recognize the PITA this can be,...

Re: Hey eveyone new to hill climbs 1988 RX7 GN 3.8.....
I am no expert in classing cars, so I will let that pass. I am, however, mightily curious about your previous racing experience. No need to answer here, I hope to ask you in person at the event. Duryea Drive can be hair raising, and oft turns a beautiful car into a ball of foil. Never the less, BE T...

For what it is worth, I am able to access the results of the events, the points and the totals to date (less Giant) .

Re: SCCA SOLO II is F KED UP
Oh for the good old days: A through H Production (even older is I production): Cars, as produced (meaning VERY limited changes...like removing the radio), classed by performance level. Yes, that caused some migration the first couple of years for new cars. A through H Modified: Classed by engine dis...

How could I forget the award winning Zlock/Foley Opel ? Sadly I do not have the details on the award, but whatever it was it was well deserved. The car drew a lot of appreciative attention.

Re: Imports and Kit Car at Carlisle
The Import Show went very well. Gordon W. and Joe C. represented the organization very well, and Joe did a great job trying to attract volunteers. Cars in the Race Paddock were Gordon's FP VW, C.Reels Mini, J.Hoover's 914-6, LLong's Bradley, my FV...and I think I missed one. If so, watch for an addi...

Here is a quiz for you old timers: Who towed his race prepped Austin Healey with a Corvette?
And, there was a time when I towed a FV with a 1967 VW type 3 Squareback.

Re: In-car video cameras
Now all you need is a motion detector to start the GoPro when a critter approaches the litter box. With luck the camera will be quiet enough not to disturb the voiding felines, and you can id the perp who misses the target. There are easier ways to figure this out, but the EE elements here must be i...
