LandSpeed Racing?
Has anyone here ever ventured into Landspeed racing? After the video of the Mustang Steve posted, it rekindled my search into these top speed all out events. They have a series they run down in NC @ Maxton, called the Maxton Mile. All out, for... yep 1 mile. Being a bunch of speed junkies and car nu...

Re: bot
Steve, correct me if I'm wrong... Back in my online gaming days, bots were programmed to do specific things, such as run the character while the "player" is away. Frowned upon in most online gaming worlds which back then led to a ban of your service. However Matt, In speaking to my buddy (...

Re: Rollcages
As good as the novice program has been since he retired, I think that it is not scary enough. I would be happy to volunteer to go up with the novices and scare the living hell out of them...... but the best safety feature we can institute is a more stern novice program. I mentioned this exact thing...

Re: Rollcages
Okay, now I'm pissed! I didn't respond to Adam's comments about the questionable welds on cages because I didn't want to start another "thread war", but for someone who helped tech (apprenticed) at 1 possibly 2 events in '07 and none to my knowledge in '08, you are out of line to make suc...

Re: Rollcages
I'm surprised that at least you didn't respond to Adam's comments on rollcage installation quality. I'm not defending you guy's on this one. Dave, I'm not saying EVERYONE falls under the "questionable" installs. But I'm positive, they are out there. I've viewed some welds, on cages that I...

Re: Rollcages
The point of this letter is to let people know, if you have a cage and you get in an accident on the street, there's no insurance company that will cover you. Easy there chief, that is NO WHERE NEAR the case. I know more then one person that's been in an accident, with a FULL CAGE in the car, and t...

...therefore a safer vehicle from the factory, right out of the box......especially when you consider the hightened safety standards that today's cars must meet. Car's today, are indeed built safer. But as someone mentioned, the test's aren't conducted under our conditions. http://www.crashtest.com...

Re: Rollcages
Roll cages are gay. They are ugly, they make it hard to get in and out of your car. :fish Cages are for animals, Bars are for drunks. I say we do it like real men. Naked, drenched in jet fuel with the spectators throwing Fusee's at us.. I for one, for the point of making my stateme...

Re: Rollcages
Custom roll cages can be costly. $4k for a 6pt, welded in for the Mach from Ed Quay in Pottstown. $900 shipped to my door from Autopower, bolt in. 8hrs to put it in. Maybe 3hrs to remove and reinstall the interior. I mentioned possibly setting a time threshold for the hills. I picked Duryea but use...

Re: Southern Driver OK?
Are you talking about the guy with the White Nissan 350z??
I think there's a post about him, not soon after RV... I'll look for it now, I would think it's not to far down from this one...
Edit; hmm I thought there was, maybe I was thinking of the Jack W. thread....

Re: PHA Website UPDATED Information
As long as no one had a problem with "The New Guy" doing it, I would. I can type fairly quick.. I use spell check and I'll make sure to leave Morg out each time  Most of my "posting" is done from work anyway, so that really wouldn't have any effect on turn around time. As so...
