Re: SCCA Inspection in Richmond VA?

Hi John, There are a few of us that do tech that are always willing to help. I don't think anyone lives that far south though. Most of our rules are condensed into the PHA Supplemental rules which can be found here: http://pahillclimb.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/2014-Hillclimb-Supplementary-Regul...

Re: Never Done A Hill Climb/Class/Safety Questions

Welcome to the group. Here is a link to most of our rules. http://pahillclimb.org/rules/ The supplementals have info on requirements. If car can fit into Street Mod class, which it may not because of suspension mods, then you would have to look at GCR classes to see if it fits within any of those ca...

Re: my auto events

Kurt,

Some of the events don't like a leading 0 in car number and keep kicking it out when there is a car 8. Happens to me all the time.

Re: Solo rules vs PHA SUPPS on tires ?

Found my saved rules here. The items that include treadwear, tread depth, tread design and listed tires, sections 3.3.a.1, 3.3.a.2, 3.3.a.3, and 3.3.c.4, are excluded in the street prepared section, and as such are excluded from street mod section by their including street prepared in their tire sec...

Re: Solo rules vs PHA SUPPS on tires ?

I think you may be confusing the 'STOCK' classes with the street classes. I cannot get access to the Solo rules right now, but I believe that is the case. Will check on it to verify tonight, but you will probably be OK as we have a lot of prepared and street mod cars running DOT slicks in our classe...

Re: New driver

Hi Kai, If you live in the WB area, give me a shout when you are back in town and I would be glad to help out. There are a couple of shops that can help you put a cage in it, or you can order a bolt-in cage, but it must meet the requirements. You will mainly need safety belts, a fire extinguisher, d...

Re: WAKE UP RACERS

Morg, does that mean you have one for sale? The add is written. Just need to pull the trigger. A tough decision! Morg, would hate to not have to line up behind you this year, so think hard about actually posting it anywhere. Guess you wouldn't be able to use the old grandma adage about only driven ...

Re: WAKE UP RACERS

I don't have much up my sleeves except grind dust from porting/polishing. Working on my engine program right now with both mild and wild options. Trying some new crankshaft options and modifications to try to get them to last longer, especially oiling system. Rich, how do we class electric cars? Doe...

Re: Fuel Cells

Grace, I just bought a set of FIA / SFI belts which are by the manufacturers label good thru 2018. Now as far as our Times Trial Committee goes I hope they are of a color that will pass inspection. My current belts are legal as of today but who knows what is on the horizon???? I just don't want to ...

Re: Giants Despair

Stopped up today to look at the hill and pits.. there are about 52 marked spots available in the paved lots. the lower camping section is all cleared out nicely. the hill looks great, and PENNDOT was working on the berms to fill in low spots and clear off runoff/washout areas. Should be a good event.

Re: Irratic - Spring Jefferson

Steve, is it your camera mount or does your car seem to float side to side through the corners? Just odd watching the video as my car tends to stay planted except for very loose times.
