Re: Maybe you need a new car.....

Yet more signs.

Yesterday Chuck ran out of base to reset the brick steps, so another errand and more signs! First a red Mustang, then a 5.0 liter Mustang! Ahhhhhh..........I can feel my buttock in the seat of the MMD Foose! And yes, it WILL fit!

Re: Maybe you need a new car.....

OK, now it is getting weird. Sue just called to let me know the senior chin drool pad made her laugh. That is not the weird part, stop, we both know we are a little weird (have to be to hilllcimb!) After we were done chatting, I went outside to sniff Chuck and the '77 Vette that just arrived for TLC...

Re: Maybe you need a new car.....

Update.

Just got back from running Saturday errands. It is fate. There was a green (like smiley emoticon green in prior posting) Mustang on the road when errands started.

It is fate the MMD Foose will be mine.......

Re: Maybe you need a new car.....

Drooling????? I have one of those super absorbent old people pads around my chin! Mustangs caught my car soul since I was a little girl. Stevil, you cannot win the Mustang, the car is mine. Letterman is gone, so I can't outline the 10 reasons why this hot car should be mine, but 10 wouldn't be enoug...

Re: Gordon

The following occurred Thursday night after I got home from a night meeting. From what Chuck and I have been told directly from a PHA member, Gordon was admitted to Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. This was after the shoulder issue was addressed. After not finding Gordon admitted to Lebanon Good Sam...

Re: Rose Valley Cancelled

Ahhhh, pipelines, shake, rattle and roll............... Perhaps the company who owns the pipeline can offer some help in the future, since they are always looking for some good "PR". Bottom line, sorry the event was cancelled after all of the hard work. I'm sure things will be corrected in...

Re: 2014 Duryea Hillclimb

Rich, Donna, John, Chuck and I worked turn #4 at Duryea. We experienced some of the oil spew over the weekend and needed to use the "good stuff". It worked GREAT! Donna would dump the "good stuff" and I swept it. There was a significant amount of oil we needed to take care of and...

Re: Update on J. W. Orrs

I have fond memories of JW during my SAAB driving days. He would tech my driver's bag stuff and I always had funny things inside which would give him a good laugh. I will keep his laugh in my heart. I can only imagine the racing stories being told at the great race track above by those we now have l...

Re: Irratic - Spring Jefferson

BTW, I spun at the same corner years ago at Fall Jefferson running the course the "counter-clockwise direction". I was in Dan Rhyne's MR2 and it just cut loose in the middle of the corner. Mid-engine cars spin REAL good! I couldn't see a thing through the dirt flying.

Re: Irratic - Spring Jefferson

I believe MF has been added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, at least the version we have in our home. Therefore, no apologies are required!

Erratic driving....hmmmmm.....I believe there are better descriptions and proper spellings for that one!

All good though, it's called FUN!!

Bumper's passing

Yesterday I was told Bumper passed away on Sunday. VERY sad news, he was one of us, heart and soul. Bumper worked turnaround until he couldn't anymore. After that, he was always there supporting the racers and the race. A good man. I send thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP, dear Bumper. Mary An...

Re: Belated Thank You - Duryea

It is sad that a simple posting thanking CJ’s Tires for their generous gift and an explanation of all the work we put into the corner decorating contest seems to have gone sour. It was our intent to give a laugh via the “double entendre” definition of a corner worker. If I were a size 6, and not a F...

Sorry for the vomit I left behind in my helmet and on the corner Thanks a lot for the feedback. Hope you didn't get any on your face............ Belated Thank You - Duryea

A belated thank you to CJ's Tires for the generous gift card provided for the corner decorating contest! An additional thank you to the drivers who voted for corner #4’s “Corner Worker” theme spectacle! 8) We also wanted to let you know that a little bit of work was done to prepare for the “spectacu...

Re: Entry lists for Hillclimb events.

I think you're making a couple of assumptions here. Grace, you are right, I was unaware that the registration list was pulled from so many sources. Thought it was a doable thing. Chuck had informed me that these lists were in the driver's bag and/or program for each event when his father used to ru...

Re: Entry lists for Hillclimb events.

just look on the list and you will see that the driver is "FAT ASS" Morg Wilson Since I have a "Fat Ass" , I just had to put my .000025 cents in. (devaluation of the dollar!) Brook made 100 copies and I think we threw out 97 I would print up 100 copies of the pre-registered entr...
