Re: Wrist restraints

Better known as Arm Restraints. I inspected the broken item at Polish Mt. and have been researching it . The TT rules state that all driver restraint systems have a SFI or FIA rating and I do not remember if the broken one had any rating label at all. I compared the constrution of the broken one to ...

Re: Polish mtn

Probably the best way is to have the production (build sheet) showing the configuration of your car. Or a list from the manufacturer giving the production stats referenced to a list if VIN numbers on which your car is included. If you cannot show YOUR car was made without the seat if will need same....

Re: Pagoda Stuff

I like the idea of moving the finish to above 9, with the staging around the pagoda island, it would enhance the event greatly. Yes it creates new records, no big deal. If you move the start line to Duryeas start line you cannot park trailers on 13th Street. With the start line moved 13th Street bec...

Re: Jefferson

If you put three cars of similar time on the track and have a catch up, the slower car must slow and wave the faster car on. If this happens both cars are impeaded and are due re-runs. Why not put three cars of very different times on track and say pass on the straights, forget about wave bys, no mi...

Re: Class and required equipment for 1986 911

John I have been following this series of posts and I am still not sure you have decided on which class to run. These posts have bounced around somewhat. The question of the mounting of the roll bar/cage can only be addressed by personel inspection no tech can approve it with photos. I live in the F...

Re: Rule Compliance

I will try to explain what happened at weatherly with the GT 3 car inspection. I was at the event, there were a LOT of comments, griping, rumor, and outright bad feelings circulated about GT 3 cars. You name it, it was said. I will not give my opinion as to why. It got to a point that Matt Rowe had ...

Re: Street Prepared Turbo cars should be moved to SM and SM2

Dave It needs to be re-stated that PHA has NO repeat - NO - authority at all to set or change any rule set by SCCA (Solo, GCR or TT). PHA is a gathering of SCCA clubs that run hillclimbs and as such tries to coordinate the clubs onto the same page so all the events run with the same rules otherwise ...

Re: Alternative Fuels in Hillclimb

We also had an electric car run Giants several years ago. It was the year that the party was at the horse racing track, J W Orrs bet on a horse with electric in its name and made several hundred dollars - naturally he was required to buy breakfast on Sun mornung. Alternative fuels requiring a pressu...

Re: roll cage questions

Rich is correct, specials classes require the max as far as safety items. Use the GCR GT specs. Yes the kill switch must disconnect all power (put it on the neg leg). ALSO it you run an alternator the kill switch must also shut the engine down when the switch is thrown, some systems will run with th...

The run what you brung class is already there, it is called Special (1, 2 &3) these classes have no class standards, only that the car must meet safety standards.
