Re: BMR Event Discounts

The roll cage discount is a great idea!! Damn Dave it was right there in front of you and someone stole it!!!! I also think the single day entry idea is good. I think the best way to do it would be to have the entrant declare their one day intent when they pay. No partial refund if you decide to, or...

Re: Hill / Class Records

I would love to give it a try Mark but my one rule is "Thou Shall Not Drive Anything In a Race That Thou Cannot Afford To Fix or Replace." Merlin tried to get me in the Tiger a few times. One of these days I might have to break my rule for a chance at that though :D .

Re: Hill / Class Records

I know I laid all this out before on here but here it goes again. When I started racing in hills back in '94 or so the ESP class was already combined with BSP. Every year in the supps it was renewed to show that ESP would be classed as BSP. For some reason about 5 years ago the supps did not reflect...

Re: Hill / Class Records

For me personally I am proud of the ITC record I set at Pagoda in Dave Miller's Rabbit. I know that ITC class cars have not changed much over the last 10 years, so with setting it a while ago and to say it has not been beaten yet tells me it is a good mark. I was also proud of the AS record I got at...

Re: Weatherly fall08

Nice job. The lines looked really good in my opinion. The only thing I would suggest would to look at turning in later at almost every turn. If you ever find yourself going into turn one too hot the line in the video can be dangerous. That is one turn that you have to totally commit to either being ...

Re: Rollcages

Breakouts sound like a great idea on paper but just like Bob said they really do nothing but keep someone from getting a trophy. And how do you find a sandbagger unless we had some way to record split times? If there is any Lawyer types out there reading this forum I have a question. Is there any wa...

Re: Southern Driver OK?

I know I am considering having mine welded in. Although it's bolted, there is no cross brace laterally above the legs from side to side. I read that is recommended somewhere in the roll cage rules. Can't make any statements as to what I will/won't do, but after seeing some of the stuff this year, k...

I was standing there when Jim Cosner said that Floyd's phone number is on his speed dial and if the record was to be broken Floyd said he would be back to reclaim it. This can get real good boys!!

Congrats George!!

Re: New Jersey Motor Sports Park

I heard the facility there is really nice. I hope to race there in the future. On another note, my home will always be Hillclimbs. My dream from the start was to go roadracing in a Mustang ( I would like to have a GT-1 Mustang someday but for now I must operate within my means :) ) After running hil...

Re: Sound Control

I removed my mufflers because I had to in a pinch last year. It seems that the OLD Flowmasters were not stainless and I found the bottoms of both missing. So I went with strait pipes and turn downs at the rear axel. There was no time to get new mufflers. With the mufflers in pre-rusted through condi...

Re: Corvette & Hill Climbing

Anyone remember the mid to late 60's red and white Vette roadster that raced in the early '90s? I remember it had a big star on the side in the paint scheme. It was really loud and sounded pissed off (the way all Vettes from yesteryear should sound :D ) He stuffed it pretty good at Giants one year a...

Come on Jimmy P!! You can't post something like that and not drop any names!! Music goes hand in hand with racing for me.
My list of faves goes something like this: Rush, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots. Any good stories?

Re: Sorry to ask, but...

Yes you can use a 2-piece suit. I like using a 2 piece siut for the hills because when you are done with a run you can take off the jacket and put it somewhere instead of tying the top part of a suit around your waist. And as far as seats go I am almost certain you can still change them in SP if you...

Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords did an article about us a few years ago, 1995 I think. (WOW more than just a few,,time really flies..LOL) It was a good article that had pictures and text with what our sport was about and event coverage from the Pagoda Hillclimb. There was a nice picture of me smoki...

Re: Towing Question.

Thanks for the replies. It saves me a bunch of time waitng on hold. :D I remember reading a story a few years ago about how a few states were going to target racers. There was something about having stickers on the car or trailer that would count as advertising. And if you were "advertising&quo...
