For what it's worth, I agree with Dave. We award bonus points for running the entire series in the team championship, but in effect penalize a driver who runs the whole series in the individual championship.

I have a disk full of shots of me at Jefferson last fall. I got it from the photographer who shot the event.

Even though we're over 50, I think the article on senior racers would be more appropriate in an "immature living" section.

You can go past Summit Point into Virginia about 10 miles or so to Winchester and there are tons of motels and restaurants.

I've seen lots of mothers wrenching cars at hillclimbs.

Or are you using mothers in the more traditional sense?

I'd be interested in doing it. If some of the Southeast guys come up it has the possibility of being a really good event.

I like running clockwise because I spin into sight of the pits running clockwise. I spin out of sight of the pits running counter-clockwise. Makes for more excitement for the spectators.

Don't speak of such things! Hershey is a spirited exhibition. We don't care about times there!

I'd like to weigh in on this discussion. I'd just like to have some extra track time for practice on Saturday. Perhaps just one 20 minute session. After that we can run our competitive sessions just as we do now. In that case, it would still be a level 3 event but there might be enough time to actua...

It's the South's turn to host. BMR hosted last fall at Summit Point. Let's do it at VIR. I grew up on that track in the '70s!

Thanks for the info. If 225s fit under the fenders, that opens up the 215-50-13 tha Kumho makes. That'll work on a 6" wheel.

I was afraid the 225's would be too wide. But it they work for you they should work for me. We should soon have a chance to test fit them. I can still run my Goodyear GS-CS tires for track days. Do you run the Hoosiers at the Jefferson time trial events?

I'm a big fan of EMRA events and I'm planning to run some NASA this year. I ran at VIR before its demise and would love to run the new version. NASA runs some HPDE events there.

Hoosier Tires

I use 13" wheels on my Rabbit so tire choices are a bit limited. I've used Hoosier A3S04 autocross tires in the past and figured they'd be pretty good hill climb tires. Unfortunately, the only tire Hoosier makes that will fit my car is the R3S05. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who might ...

Very cool! It's been nearly 30 years since I raced wheel-to-wheel at Summit Point. These videos make me want to do it again. I love the Audis, too. Hope to see you guys at a hill climb or two again next year.

Are you going to run the R5 in ITC? I may be eating crow after my crack about running in reverse! It'd be nice to have another regular in the class, though.
