Re: Belated Thank You - Duryea

I made sure to yell out your corner loudly during the driver's meeting on Sunday. By far the best.

Re: Polish Mountain Hillclimb

I don't know why but the word on the street is that Maryland State Police are "targeting" the area between Cumberland and Flintstone on the Hillclimb weekend. Please watch your speeds. Don't know the "reason" but be advised. Thanks for the heads up! Some of us, uh, drive quite q...

Re: Proposed change for 2012 year end points.

I am going to withdraw my original proposal for a points change for 2012. I would like to thank Nelson Matt and Kurt for their efforts in trying to work out a solution to this suggestion but clearly see that it is futile in nature. I truly hope that everyone has a great Holiday season and thanks ag...

Rich, if you text them to me I can post them. Four one two, five three seven, eight nine zero three.

I really think they should have opened the show with the run. Good though, I have to get to work posting this on other forums.

I actually enjoy when you vent your opinions in public. It is pretty boring here without any kind of drama. I like getting results when I hit the "new posts" tab on top of the page.

Re: Pre-Duryea hillclimb drag race

Well, I got around to holding up my end of the drag race bargain (Steve, Dan, Mike, Ray, Ray, Hunter, Jer, etc., your turn) tonight. Car ran 13.1@110, with a 2.05 60'. I was a bit disappointed in the ET, surprised at the high mph. Ran 13.3, 13.3, 13.2, then 13.1. The Hoosier A6 was OK once some heat...

Re: petite Le Mans

Second,,, hang on a minute Mark I did not single anyone out, well except for Jeremy. I did not say the whole group of new drivers was lacking in showing support, most of them did. But it was a bit sad to see some newer faces that gave no effort to say thanks with just a wave and/or a smile and a no...

Re: petite Le Mans

It comes down to the smart ass attitude that seems to flow so freely from people that have only been coming to the events for a few years. I took time out of my busy schedule to work on a corner this year at Duryea and when the corner workers and I would stand there to give a friendly wave to the d...

Re: petite Le Mans

Really Jer??,, Dave starts a thread to let us in the PHA know that his son (who raced all the PHA events for a number of years until Roger Penske decided to move the team down south) is involved in helping out a team in the ALMS series. And you have to hijack it with pure crap. And people wonder wh...

Re: verbal abuse

I don't think showing novices lines is a good idea either. You want them to take it easy on one hand then you want to put in their head "the fastest line"? Kind of seems a bit counter-intuitive to me. Let them take a few runs on a hot course, get comfortable, then we as competitors can han...

Re: Duryea Rescue

Hi Mary Ann, Turns out that " Crash" is already litter trained and he/she likes carrots too. Both of our dogs are hell bent on a rabbit dinner, so he/she goes with us to work every day. Hopefully we can find him/her a good family. The rabbit is just really, really cute and very loving. He...

Re: apology?

Mike, Jeremy, Mark et al., The Duryea writeup that ruffled so many feathers was intended for the entertainment of my NEHA mates who are interested in PHA hill climbing. I hope my journalistic endeavors continue to encourage more NEHA drivers to make the long ride to PA. and give PHA. a try. Taken o...

If we end up coming (probably will), we aren't going to get there until Saturday. Is that going to be a problem Jeremy? Probably just skip first runs.

Re: Duryea stuff

Mark, I think Dave just likes to fuel the fire. Everyone in their right mind wants one of those nicely prepped racecars that we saw from our Dent sport garage folks and their friends. But, as Mark said its not always in the cards for everyone. Out of all the wreck's this past weekend it looks as if...
