Re: Southern Driver OK?
It is not a matter of a cover up when no details of an incident are made public. The officials at an event follow all guidelines as directed by SCCA as to reporting of an incident. This does not include public statements at the event but if asked they have always been forthcoming in talking about an...

Re: Finish line radar - Duryea
yes, We had the radar unit at the finish line on Sunday.
The times were posted on the same board with the lap times.
I have carbon copies of the speeds and will attempt to scan them and post them on this Forum.

Re: The Kings of Duryea...
The fast time for Kerry was recorded at the finish line with a radar gun. It was 154 MPH, I do not recall which year but that year the last runs were run in a heavy fog and kerry came through the fog at 111 MPH. That was scarry as he went by the finish line and you could see him for about 2 sec. Ric...

Re: Duryea Directions Please
Skyline Dr from the Blandon direction will take you to the Fire Tower (finish line/Friday tech). This road is somewhat of a winding country road, but it is wide and easily uesable to tow over.

Re: Duryea Directions Please
Use the intersection of Walnut St and 13Th St. (Or 1304 Walnut St) this will give you the North end of the pitts.
Try using the "William Penn Fire Tower" for the camping area, this is also the finish line/tech inspection area.

Re: MySpace Page
Ron You are correct in your opinion that this should have been approved by the PHA before the fact. I an concerned that the PHA logo has been used without express written permission. This logo is for the exclusive use the PHA and its use without permission is a violation of law. I have looked at the...

Re: 1990 Pagoda Hill Climb...history lesson
The current Pagoda hillclimb has been run between Duryea turn 2 and turn 9. This configuration has not been modified except the finish line move listed in the above article. The original Pagoda hillclimb was run before it was an SCCA event and was run in different lengths over the years. The current...

Re: Question on saftey
The arm restraints should fit snugly on the arms, they should prevent the arm from leaving the drivers compartment, ideally they should limit the arm movement as much as possible to prevent injury but still allow you movement to control the vehicle with comfort. They MUST be fitted so that when the ...

Re: Towing Question.
A commercial motor vehicle has a GVWR of over 26,000 lbs or a combimation of vehicles with the total over 26,000 AND the trailer is over 10,000 lbs. If you meet any of these you need a commercial drivers license (except motor homes which have their own license for over 26,000). For the original ques...

My MGB GT is a good example. I cut an opening in the floor and mounted the cell so it hangs partially below the rear floor where the old tank was mounted, the top is in the old spare tire well (spare was horizontal). In the mg the area in the hatch back area has a horizontal flange around the entire...

If I had AC in my race car it would be on up until the green light went on. The cooling fans are easy - find the relay(s) that provide power to the fan(s), run a hot wire thru a new switch directly to the relay. You can now have the fan run whenever you want. Wire it hot from the battery and you can...

I visited Ted at the hospital today and agree that he is in good spirits, he looked good and did not seem to be in much pain. His arm has a lot of new hardware inside but was told it will heal OK. He also had bruises and scrapes on his legs but nothing serious. Ted gave thanks to the responding emer...

Ron The main problem would be if the max entry is reached and you are not already registered. You should register and indicate running Sun only. Also set up Sun tech and check in with event persons, other wise they may not be available right away and cause you to miss runs. This probably applies to ...

Posts on this forum speak for themselves, please do not add what you think someone else was thinking, because you would no doubt be wrong. Debunking and short sided are not my words and it seems to be the opinion of someone else, I asked a question to try to get a full picture of that which was post...

Jeff, That is exactly my point, you have said you want nothing to do with us, and I called you on that point only. So what do you do, you do a personal attack. That is why, I repeat, please go away, you have lost all sence of reason when all you can do is attack someone on a personal level. All I di...

Several points. 1. How many events in the SE are hills (level 4 ). How many events are level 3. Does not the new proposed rule only apply to level 4 events? 2. Matt Rowe, you are way too nice in your responses to Jeff on this site. 3. Jeff - for someone who has in effect told the PHA hillclimb event...

Ross I would be very interested in exploring the statement that you would not be here if you had a full cage. If there had been a cage are you saying that there would have been more damage in the drivers area? :?: The damage area seems to be mostly confined to the rear (the photos are not complete) ...
