Website Upgrade and Migration
As you are all aware the PHA website is in the process of receiving a facelift and added features. We will be migrating the forum to the new Host, which may possibly cause some loss of newly added content or comments. This will occur the week of April 25th and we will try to maintain continuity of t...

Re: Time Trials Classing
I am thinking like Matt about making it easier for new drivers. I like the idea of a flow diagram too. The Time Trial rules is making it confusing for IT and Production cars because of the following statement: The exact text from section 11 of the TTR is: If the vehicle does not fall into a Club Rac...

Re: Very interested in getting behind the wheel!
Jeremy, I have been with you that he does not need to modify his cage beyond what he has now to meet the solo rules or the hillclimb rollbar rule. Dave pointed that out early in the thread, it may not be the preferred method, but meets the rules. I believe that the intent of allowing people to place...

Re: Very interested in getting behind the wheel!
Ok, I was wrong and man enough to admit it! I apologize for adding stress to everyones life! I was drinking a few and was easily influenced before I posted, dumb idea. The paragraph that Dave posted is exactly the one that is confusing the issue. I think we should review the wording of this paragrap...

Re: Very interested in getting behind the wheel!
First let me say welcome and that it looks like you have done a lot of work and it looks great. Let me comment on what I see here, just another opinion. If you want to run IT you must have a full cage as per GCR page 88 as follows: AMERICAN SEDAN, IMPROVED TOURING, SHOWROOM STOCK, SPEC MIATA, AND TO...

Re: New Website Administrator(s)
Matt Rowe has full access and administrative rights at this time along with me and my daughter Diane. As long as Matt is willing to give me some advice and info he will remain as such. I figured until I have touched all of the screens and worked with the forum he would be an invaluable asset. Matt a...

Re: New Front Page for the Website...
My daughter and I have been discussing the changes for the website and this could be done easily. By the time we have a new picture the website should be much easier to make changes and manage. My daughter has been very busy putting together a show at the goggleworks in Reading and hasn't had the ti...

Re: Videos Needed
I went over yesterday during my lunch and manned the booth for a little over an hour.
There weren't many people there, maybe talked to one or two folks.
I will try and go again today.

Re: New to Hillclimbing
Sounds like he wants to remain in a streetable version of his car. I think this defines that he should check out the Solo rules for what classes are available for his model/make. Whether or not he installs a full cage or not is totally up to him in a street class, of course we always reccomend the f...

Re: BMR on BCTV
Great Job all! I watched the show last nite and thought you all did a marvelous job representing the hillclimbs! Seems like Nancy is taking quite a fancy to the cameras! lol Glad to see that our hill in Reading is actually getting some exposure! Let's see what happens with the crowds this year? I wo...

Re: Hey eveyone new to hill climbs 1988 RX7 GN 3.8.....
Hi Ryan, This is the definition for the exhaust from the GCR and Time trial rules, they are the same. "Exhaust System - Shall be directed away from the body and shall terminate at or behind a point which is equidistant from the front and rear hubs." I hope this explains the rules for you. ...

Ryan, The logbook will not be an issue. You will not receive an annual inspection until you have one, but you will be allowed to run with the weekend inspection completed by one of the guys teching that event. You will need to get with Kurt Eichenberg and purchase your logbook, complete the necessar...

Ryan,
While showing my brother your car I noticed something that may be a problem for you. The exhaust is supposed to exit behind the drivers door. I will verify in the GCR to make sure, but you may want to look into this.

Hi Ryan, Very nice car, sure glad you won't be in my class! I run the 03 first Gen RX7 in ITS, pretty much a stock car with a cage. I am sure no where near the power you will put out with that beast! I look forward to seeing the car and you on the hills! Welcome to the PHA. If you have any questions...

Re: Pre Season Annual Tech Sessions
For you guys and gals that are near the Reading area and would like to have your car pre-checked I can offer this service also, but Kurt will have to stamp your book at Jefferson. Make sure to bring your gear too. The following two weekends I can accomodate some cars at my place in Pricetown. The be...

Re: Found New Hillclimb Site
I've been on those roads and they are a blast to drive! I thought exactly the same thing the last time I was there! My wife was a little car sick by the time we reached Flagstaff, but I had a ball driving! Slide Rock is so cool for those that have never been there, you need to take a slide down the ...

I agree Steve, Rose Valley was at the top of my list of favorite events.
I sure hope it is not lost forever!
If there is anything the PHA or we as individuals can do to make this event return, please let us know.
I will do anything in my power to help.

Re: PHA Test Pilot Contest
This Timed Run does not have to be at full throttle, just needs to be timed. I would not expect this run to be any different than runs in the past with reporters or cameramen from TV stations have gotten. If you recall the runs by Jack where he spun it at Giants, I am sure the cameraman was checking...

PHA Test Pilot Contest
I was asked to put my write up about the contest here on the forum. If anyone wants to help in any way, please let me know. Or if anyone has any other ideas to improve it, add your two cents. I need Matt Rowe to review this for any legal issues wearing his Chief Stewart hat if possible and call me i...

Re: PHA UP-HILL NEWSLETTER
I agree Morgan, Nelson does a great job with the newsletter! I know he is always looking for any articles from the drivers, but to be honest, I feel a little bit embarrassed writing something about myself. I guess this is why it is tough for Nelson to obtain anything from us? My brother and I have b...
