Do you actually have to stay at the event more than an hour or so to win the tickets ^^^^^^ Morg ;-)

Re: ### Roll Cage Setup

Hi Rich, I agree with the points you made. That would be my preference as well, just didn't word it correctly I guess. Steve, if you ever want a set of eyes on the car, depending on where you live, there are a few of us that would help you out long before an event so there are no surprises. Fire sys...

Re: ### Roll Cage Setup

Design looks pretty good. Here are my comments: 1) 2" is mainly for open car, you probably want to get it as close to roof line as possible. Rear hoop should be about 6" behind head when in seated driving position. 2) Yes horizontal is a good idea, just place it at correct height for appro...

Re: i figure an intro is due

Since you are in XP, and your car is too stripped out to run in SM (or SMF?), start with the Production GCR class. In general, the Prepared autocross class translates to Production GCR class (unless you drive a car that they never classed in Production, like a 16V VW Scirocco for example). If you a...

Re: i figure an intro is due

how detailed? that is a very long list. also: autopower 4 point cages meet spec? Hi Mafix and welcome. Having a car prepped beyond Street Mod Autocross class leads to all kinds of questions. XP is not recognized in hill climbing, so you need to loot at GCR classes or Specials. Specials require a fu...

Re: Belated Thank You - Duryea

It is sad that a simple posting thanking CJ’s Tires for their generous gift and an explanation of all the work we put into the corner decorating contest seems to have gone sour. It was our intent to give a laugh via the “double entendre” definition of a corner worker. If I were a size 6, and not a ...

Fall weatherly registration

Boy that ended early. Went on to register today and it is closed? Usually we have until a week before.

Re: Fall Jefferson

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, I really doubt if i will have a car available for this weekend. If it was not so far away, I would try to come down and help out for tech, but not sure I can make it. We'll see what the week brings.

Re: Belated Thank You - Duryea

Hi Mary Anne,

Thanks for the spectacle! Sorry for the vomit I left behind in my helmet and on the corner ;-)
Looks like I am out for Jefferson due to lack of needed engine parts, but hope to still make Weatherly.

Rich, are the lower lots going to be available again for this event. That was pretty convenient, and nice of the city to provide parking there.

Re: Polish Mountain Hillclimb

Registered, but hoping to make the event. had a timing belt jump on Sunday at an autocross. Reset it to test and have good compression. Going to do a leak down on it tonight and see if any valves are bent. I would think with 140 - 160 pounds compression that I may be OK? Need to get a new belt and t...

Re: Could use some rule interpretation for time trials

Looks like a good place to ask my questions. I'm currently rebuilding my old Solo II car to bring it up to date from its last outings some 20 years ago. I'll be going back into E Prepared but I want to keep an ultimate goal of moving up to being a Solo I and hillclimb car. The car is already beyond...

Re: Could use some rule interpretation for time trials

I am expecting to run a SAAB 900S in SMF (solo rules) at Duryea . I have not run the hill since about 1972-3, so I am a novice. I have my TTR permit, helmet, socks , belts etc. I am getting hung up on what the solo vs TTR rules are saying. I have an auto power roll bar due here any day. My issues a...

2012 Pagoda incident and response video

Many thanks to all who had a hand in what was happening at my car fire. This came about because of an improperly positioned clamp on a fuel line which blew off going into Oh Sh*T on Saturday. Now we have a new one, "Oh Sh*t, I'M ON FIRE!" Anyway. I am fine, car will be OK, just need to rep...

Thank you Duryea Workers!

To the folks at turns 6, 7, 8 and our safety response team, Thank you. The response to my incident was handled as good as anyone could have expected considering the fuel load and the situation. My safety came 1st without any doubt. Once I was safely away from the car and had a brief check to assess ...
