Pennsylvania Motorsports Caucus- I am not making this up
Perhaps this has been posted/discussed before (or at least the SEARCH function hasn't picked it up) but did all you Pennsylvania folks know we have a PA Motorsports Caucus in the Pennsylvania General Assembly ( and here I thought the only thing they knew how to do was hold up a budget and vote thems...

Re: Found New Hillclimb Site
Why are you people looking for New H/C sites? We have enough trouble at time MANNING the ones that we have! And if you REALLY want another specific site, why don't YOU find out what the SCCA requirements are and preview it YOURSELF and then ask for an official review along with the REASONS this is s...

Re: Found New Hillclimb Site
Steve, SCCA does have some basic requirements as far as road to buildings distance, spectator areas, no jumps. Rich I have basically filtered out areas where I can envision a car getting in trouble and hitting something manmade. No jumps also, or at least no launching a Windstar/BMW 325. Then again...

I guess I sure as hell annoyed somebody!
Ted, truth be told, I have previewed a number of sites for a number of years and have done PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU HAVE SUGGESTED! ...I have a pretty damn good idea what will fly and what will not. I just want someone with another set of eyes to confirm what I feel might (or might not) be a good site a...

Re: Found New Hillclimb Site
Let's see if we can annoy someone enough to take a look. Not just Green Mt but others. We should emphasize that east of the Susquehanna for the most part might be futile (notable exceptions are Green Mt and Snake Rd)

Rich...Three of mine are old.One was run a few times (Hobbie/Green Mt), one only once (Town Hill) and the other was almost-but-never run (Locust Gap). The rest (4 or 5) are new. One of which MAY have been seen by Matt Green but I can't be certain.

Answer to points (plugs and condensors to follow):
Rich: I have answers ( actually, responses...) to many of the points you raise. My concern is that a separate set of eyes are needed...if I could just get SOMEONE ELSE to look at them perhaps? I think I have had ONE looked at. (responses keyed to the above) 1. I attempt to take support areas into co...

I was scoping out a potential site in North Dakota...
Well, we don't have Rose Valley this year, so why not?
FWIW there are a number of potential sites closer to reality that need to be looked at in case we have another RV situation and we lose something even temporarily...

Either it's recently vacated (and available) numbers or the whole thing is a visual acuity exam.
Beats the hell out of an Ishihara Color Perception test! (which I flunk, but I pass the DOT test. Go figure.)

Re: PHA Test Pilot Contest
This Timed Run does not have to be at full throttle, just needs to be timed. I would not expect this run to be any different than runs in the past with reporters or cameramen from TV stations have gotten. Then why bother? I'm very much aware (after 35 yrs off and on around this) of exhibition runs ...

Grand Prize Winner
A timed Run with an existing PHA Driver - Driver would be named at the last event.
Any contestant exclusions would need to be identified and spelled out in the contest rules.
And how in the blue-eyed hell is THAT supposed to happen?
