Re: New Class Undeclared

"PHA could potentially exclude the entire event from the series for not following the PHA supplementals..." So, am I to understand that an event which runs by the grace of a SCCA sanction could be excluded from a series of events- all of which run with a SCCA sanction-for not following a P...

Re: New Class Undeclared

My concern is that PHA has no authority within SCCA to do anything. PHA functions as a facilitating org. for the purpose of establishing a mutually agreeable series schedule and establishing a PHA series points championship- a function that SCCA once did for the Division (e.g. NEDIV), but PHA waived...

Re: New Class Undeclared

Would someone please identify any automotive competition organization that allows you to "run what you brung" other than, perhaps, drag racing? And even there, if you get serious, they class you...and limit you to certain specifications and/or modifications...and safety equipment-especiall...

Re: The NEW and IMPROVED DURYEA HILLCLIMB

Ron Moreck's taking out the telephone pole on a touring run wasn't the cause of Montage's demise (although it did result in a great party that afternoon in the parking lot/pits). It was the complaining of residents on the road that they were being denied unhampered access to and from their homes; I ...

Polish Mountain-it's a small world

Somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between the Canary Islands and St Maarten, I asked a guy on board ship I was talking to where he was from... He said Cumberland, MD. I mentioned that I had competed in the Polish Mountain Hillclimb and he went nuts! He was there, thought it was great! Sm...

Re: '09 Schedule

I thought the problem was that we couldn't get a response from Rose Valley on a date, not Polish Mtn. Perhaps Polish Mtn. is dependent on Rose Valley picking or accepting a date. Have we heard from Rose Valley?

Tom Knorr's pulling your chain and I'll lay claim to the idea of the high front hoop discount only.

Re: Hill / Class Records

If you want to learn car control try ice racing! Much as in childhood development- first you crawl, then you walk, then you run...-there may be a patterning that takes place in reflex motor skills development when driving as with the former... but enough of that. Many Formula 1 drivers started with ...

Re: Hill / Class Records

I'm confused. Steve said you ADD 50 lbs when you win not SUBTRACT. If you win every event you've ADDED 450 lbs not taken it off. As for the Capri...it is the responsibility of the driver to properly class his car not the tech. inspectors. If you read the SOLO Rules, they will give you the class the ...

Re: History of the Fleetwood Hill Climb Presentation

Ron. I'd love to be there but, unfortunately, that's the same night as the BMR meeting and this meeting is for nomination of club officers for '09. All you BMR members who read this should come to the BMR meeting and help select (or volunteer yourself) the officers for next year. Joe

Re: Hill / Class Records

Dave, If "any reclassification of cars...needs to be addressed to the SOLO Brd. at Hdqtrs", how were forced-induction cars moved to SM in the PHA series?

Re: Hill / Class Records

I thought that all forced-induction cars had to run in SM or SM2 as a result of a motion made and passed at a PHA meeting; so that means a full prep ESP WRX would have to run in a SM class. Am I correct?

Re: Trouble with this site??????????

I have not seen the adobe problem today BUT, when I come on the website I continue to get a message that Norton has protected me from "Bloodhound.Exploit.196" whatever that is. I am not a computer wiz, but it looks like this site is infected.

I am and also Norton Security keeps saying they protected me from some attack-only on the forum. Maybe the site needs a little attention and "fixing".

Furthermore, Adam, I would appreciate it if you would point out these "suspect" bars or cages next season so that we can assure all competitors that their bar or cage is safe.

Re: Rollcages

Okay, now I'm pissed! I didn't respond to Adam's comments about the questionable welds on cages because I didn't want to start another "thread war", but for someone who helped tech (apprenticed) at 1 possibly 2 events in '07 and none to my knowledge in '08, you are out of line to make such...

Well put Rich, but this is a safe venue for some people to rail at others who don't necessarily share the same position. As you suggest, follow the proper channels to address what one sees as a problem. It's sort of like voting...voting gives you the right to bitch; if you don't vote-shut up! In thi...

SEGWAY! PA law says that mc riders don't have to wear a helmut...as an old-time biker, I think you're nuts not to wear a helmet! Further, if you do ride w/o one, you should be forced to sign an ironclad release so that all of us don't have to pay (through taxes) to keep your brain dead body alive. U...
