Re: PHA in Road and Track
Not a bad article. Some minor mistakes but good to see us get some attention. Hopefully he shows up with a rollbar in that M2.

Since it is very unlikely we will make it to the track Friday night, both Michele and I vote CCW.

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
I thought STO was no longer a class? Be prepared to have a heart attack reading the SU rules. It's suggested to have safety equipment equal to your times. But, SM minimum is all that is required. (Ducking, roll bar only) I'm just waiting to be asked to not show up anymore without first installing a...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Before I comment any further, could someone direct me to the site for the Southeast Division or Region that has the rules posted for Street Unlimited ... See link I posted above. And what is STO? Cameron Super Touring Over. Not sure of rules, IMO one of the classes that could be eliminated pretty e...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Mark, I must be missing something. Where does it say in our rules that a cross manufacturer engine swap is legal in ITE? Rich, I was under the impression our rules were written to be a catch all for production cars that didn't have anywhere else to run. His car would've been legal for SPO. As the r...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Dave, From speaking with Jeremy he intended ITE to be a catch all class for "doorslammers" (non-tube frame cars), as currently there are many cars out there that have no reasonable class to run. For instance, the way the ITE rules are stated in your earlier post, no one is currently legal ...

ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Can we have an open discussion on how with 138 classes (obvious slight exaggeration), we do not have one class where a street legal 240z with an LS1 swap can run? ITE seems to be the perfect, logical place for a car with a stock firewall, full cage, and engine swap to compete. As ITE stands right no...

Re: Duryea
Yeah, I stay a bit more to the right entering Pagoda as well. I was having some issues from 5-6, car was all over the bumpstops, but it was manageable. What really was upsetting the car was from the airplane field to the finish. Took everything I had to keep my foot on the floor, car was really bott...

Re: 2015 Duryea
From between turn 11 and 12 (the right/left , downhill looking kink after Pagoda) are you really WOT all the way to the finish? Sounds that way from videos. Also, do the higher power cars just lift into 11 as it dips down or do you actually brake? Flat from 5 all the way with a tap on the brakes in...

Re: 2015 Pagoda Hillclimb
I think we should get rid of novice runs altogether, waste of time.
As Steve said, he has been very accommodating, all it takes is a phone call like the one I made to him explaining I may not be able to make it until late Friday. No need to throw a public fit on an Internet forum.

Re: Car classification question
I just don't get this. I have personally been up Duryea well under two minutes in a Z06 and a '95 Mustang, Dan Reed has been even faster in a fox bodied Mustang, all three cars with bolt in rollbars only. And I could make 800 rwhp, legally, and run a rollbar in SSM or SM. But this gentleman can't ru...

Re: Car classification question
SPO. Should be an allowance for rollbars for TT cars. Can't remember if this exact situation has arisen, but this is how I myself interpreted the ruleset for cars that are still "street cars" with cross-manufacturer engine swaps. SM or SSM would be a more natural choice but the SCCA doesn'...
