IMPORTANT

It is now time for all drivers to step to the plate. As you all know, the number of drivers has been on the rise; the number of volunteers to man our corners has not. Both the safety and viability of our events depends on an adequate pool of volunteers. I have begun the process of creating a databas...

Flintstone Update

On Sunday, January 7, 2007, fourteen people met in Bedford, PA to discuss the status of the 1.2 mile Polish Mountain Hillclimb in Flintstone, Maryland. The attendees included four from the Steel Cities Region of SCCA including Ray Colburt and Glen Hoffman, one from the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Comp...

New '57 Chevy. My father did not like to drive. On his many business trips to Williamsport from Bloomsburg, as soon as we got out of town, he would have me drive. Since I was only 12, I sat on a pillow. All back roads since there were no interstates at the time. When we got near Williamsport, he wou...

A question for Stan Vann or Mark Mashburn. I am planning on going to VIR but I want to be sure I can run. I contacted the secretary for NC Region some time ago but I have not received a return call or email. I run in Historic 1 in our hillclimb series. The supps do not currently accomodate this clas...

Thank you for the clarification Matt. My appologies to Jen. I knew Jen was coordinating all "volunteers" but I did not notice that she was listed on our web site as a coordinator. Need to be more observant.

Listed below are solutions that NEPA will employ during the Spring Jefferson Event to maximize track time: 1. Start on Time. The contracted start time with the track is from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Well in advance of the event, NEPA will inquire as to the possible modification of the contract to allow for ...

Possible solutions to the Workers (F&C) problem: 1. First, let's not call them workers. Let's refer to them for what they are... F&C personnel. 2. To maintain our current core of workers, we all need to show appreciation for the important role they serve. Further, they must all be treated in...

Team Points - Resolution of Issue

After communicating with many PHA members and reviewing the many helpful posts on our website, the following will be the interpretation of the team points for the 2006 season: At any Time Trial event, if a team member does not compete, the alternate (substitute) may earn points for the team. Only on...

Team Points

Some have indicated that the team championship rules in the past were different than those currently published. This may be correct. It is also correct to conclude that rules should not be changed unless PHA authorizes them. For the 2004, 2005 and 2006 season our web sites clearly states: "one ...

Dan,
Are you related to Don Hennigan? I ran G Production in the 60's and early 70's and he ran a Spitfire.

Weatherly Weather

The chance of thunderstorms from Friday through Sunday is not associated with any frontral activity. They are caused by the high temperatures and humidity that reaches its maximum in the later part of the day when these thunderstorms might occur. Therefore, the forecast doesn't really look that bad....

It does not matter to me how the event is run or how many points are awarded, however, at least the points part should be discussed at our meeting this Saturday, April 2.
