2020 PHA Banquet

The banquet has been rescheduled. The original date was November 7, and the new date is November 21. This will give us time to order awards and put a program book/yearbook together in case the season runs beyond October 3-4. No matter what the season ends up looking like, we intend to have the banqu...

2020 Pagoda/Duryea Schedule

Right now, the plan is to hold Duryea as originally scheduled on August 15-16. The City of Reading has put BMR on the calendar for October 3-4. That will be the makeup date for Pagoda. If Duryea gets canceled, there might not be a Pagoda Hillclimb this year and we'll just run Duryea on October 3-4. ...

Re: Polish Mountain Repave

The milling is done and the paving is well underway, not far from completion. Millings have been spread in the lowest muddiest parts of the paddock.

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved in this project!

2020 Pagoda Hillclimb Canceled

BMR has decided to cancel the event due to the likelyhood that prohibitive restrictions on crowd size will still be in place the weekend of June 20-21.

Hope and planning for Duryea is underway.

Re: 2020 Jefferson Entry Form

Got a call from the track today, and the news is not good. While they are going to "reopen" later this week, they are only going to be able to hold "events" with a maximum of five participants. As of now, they believe it will be some time before they'll be allowed to to hold an e...

Re: 2020 Jefferson Entry Form

Summit Point announced yesterday that they have extended their shutdown until (thru) May 18. They tell me that they expect to make their next announcement on May 11, so we're going to wait and see what happens. If it can't happen as scheduled, the next available weekend is June 13-14. June 13 is the...

2020 Spring Weatherly

The Weatherly Hillclimb Association has decided to cancel the June event. Only a very slight chance that it will be rescheduled.

2020 Spring Jefferson

We might not know if we'll be able to have the event on Memorial Day weekend until we're well into the month of May. I'm working with the track to explore possible alternate dates in case we postpone (instead of cancel). In the meantime BMR is working on a plan to open registration in very early May...

Re: Some ideas for new future hillclimb venues

Good stuff Matt, thanks for doing this. Only one I have any knowledge of is Neversink. The biggest problem there is lack of paddock and turnaround space. There's virtually no room at the bottom or top. I encourage anyone who can to check out the other potential sites and report back. Thanks! Rich

NEDiv Mini Con Feb 15

The NEDiv Mini Con will be in Scranton this year. The Mini Con is an annual thing, attended mostly by region officers, event organizers and officials, but all SCCA members are welcome to attend. I was asked to do a Hillclimb presentation. It will be an information type of thing, passing out schedule...

Re: January 2020 PHA Meeting

As of Friday evening, the PHA meeting and BMR Banquet are on schedule for Saturday.

If you don't see (here) an update to the contrary by 10am Saturday, that means everything is on schedule.

There's lots to discuss, please try to be there.

January 2020 PHA Meeting

The meeting will be held at Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown PA (same place as last January) on Saturday January 18, starting promptly at 2pm. The Mall opens at 9am, so come early to walk around and see the wide range of cars. There won't be any food served at the meeting, so plan accordingly. The An...
