Re: Recently paved Weatherly Hillclimb

Oh my was that nice! I see they took the nasty camber out of turn 1. But a little more banking in the last turn would have been nice. Maybe like 20degrees or so?? Thanks for the vid. No problem! The inside of turn 1 doesn't seem as banked, or cambered as much to me anymore... which I miss...

Recently paved Weatherly Hillclimb

As some of you know my parents live at the top of the Weatherly Hillclimb, and I keep some of my cars there. While heading home from the most recent autocross I never took my camera off of my windshield so I turned it on just prior to the hillclimb. Now all of those who are not so close can see the ...

Hometown might get a little more popular soon... NEPA held an autocross at the farmer's market last year and we are going to again this year. But besides that, they're building a Walmart super-center there. It is due to open very soon and I heard other things like Sheetz and similar are due to start...

Jimmy, I can understand why you might disagree with some people being more willing to race a car with less safety equipment than you are comfortable with, but let me ask you this. How did you first get involved with racing? If I never went out and "just tried" autocrossing because I only n...

Thats a good point Matt. Even a car with less power and even on stock suspension will gain some good momentum on some portions of the hill climbs. Take the first long stretch in Reading. I bet by the time I was at turn 7 there even my daily driver Chevy Lumina could get to a decent speed. A speed hi...

Morg, I am sure you realize that the sport of hillclimbing was really starting to die off, at least within this area. I know I seen it first hand here at Weatherly. Without the newer people from the solo 2 community whom only needed to basically add a rollbar to their car and then start doing hillcl...

It's been quite awhile since I've posted here, but this might be a solution. How about a horsepower to weight ratio formula for cages? Decent idea? Or am I way off base. Just figured I'd throw out something. While I agree you can never be too safe running a hill, why not just leave the rules as is?...

The rule would affect me as I explained in more detail on the one other thread. I may install a roll bar but a cage would never be installed as the car was never meant to be a dedicated race car. It is a street car that I occasionally race. Though mostly only autocross, I have been getting into othe...

That would be easy to do... It seems that page is setup that the drivers are to submit the information to be displayed. So I don't see it being a problem of information they would rather not have displayed, being displayed. I think the hardest part would be getting the interest out of the drivers an...

My e-mail is banned?

I'm not very active on this form, as you may of noticed but I went to view my profile to change some settings and I noticed I still had my old e-mail address entered. I typed in my new one along with the password since that is required to alter your e-mail address and then I changed the other settin...

Weather or not this means anything at this point; I have to say that I completely disagree with this proposed rule change. For those of you who are unaware of who I am my name is Kevin Tulay. I have met and know many of you from this forum from being around at the hill climb events. I have lived in ...
