Went thru the gravel pit off of T1 once at well over 80 mph - what a ride that was!! Made it ALL the way thru the gravel pit and continued on to finish the race!

Rock Creek is awaiting approval from the US Forrestry Service, we have to obtain a permit this year. Rather than advertise and cancel we decided to wait until we get approval.

Sam's Gap is in the same county, but doesn't require USFS approval and the road is much curvier!

As a FYI - we plan to change the dates of Snowshoe next year, it will conflict with other Hillclimbs we are hosting in the new 2006 SE Hillclimb Championship Series - Sams' Gap and Rock Creek.

I understand, it is definitely a tough decision. This is the second year that we have conflicted with an event, we now have a 5 year commitment from Snowshoe to have a Hillclimb every Labor Day weekend until 2010.
