Re: Shenandoah Circuit question?
Now you guys are talkin,,, Shenandoah or Summit Main,, great tracks. The Jeff is a fun little track, and has a certain charm, but Shenandoah is a hoot. Switching to transponders,,, I've been asking / harping on this for 4-5 years. Its really the way forward and the way of the future for time trialing...

Re: Occupations...what do you do?
I am a touring concert production manager for pop / rock bands (if you are into music probably people you have heard of, unless you like country or rap, I dont do country or rap)... This year in 2008, starting my 24th year since I quit my proverbial day job. Basically my job is I am the artist's rep...

more and more safety requirements become mandated, do you think that will not affect you and your sport? Don't be blind to what is happening here ... this is only the beginning. NOTHING will kill it faster than a death in todays legal climate. Especially if it can (and would easily) be proven that ...

Jimmy, I can understand why you might disagree with some people being more willing to race a car with less safety equipment than you are comfortable with, but let me ask you this. How did you first get involved with racing?. I started in Solo 2,,, where all I had to do was buy a helmet. Then I star...

I gotta say I find all this hubub over safety gear really laughable. I stop in this board a couple times a season to catch up, and check in on the Jefferson Time Trials (and to see if there are any threads about track based time trials). I really could not believe finding mutiple threads about resis...

No one should be competing in a high speed event without a cage. Period. Its Club racing, not solo 2. I dont do hills,,, just race tracks,,, but any high speed event the car should be prepared with a cage to the minnimum of the SS / IT GCR for Club Racing. Thats what the sticker on the side says the...

Thanks for the honest assessment Ray. I didnt realise this was more targeted to attracting Solo2 type drivers. I'm personally most definitely in the latter category, looking for max track time with an outcome or not. I suport the Jefferson events when I can (work schedule wise), because its a fun tr...

Ray, I am VERY interested in attending this event,,, however the only reason I have paused was after reading the interaction of another clubs event (Vintage NASCAR) on the same track. I started to reconsider going to Summit Point that weekend and instructing with NJ BMWCCA. It started sounded like t...

Any Scranton area people attending Giants?
Hey Guys, I am wondering if there are any Scranton / surrounding area drivers going to Giants that might grab a set of tires for me from Joe Specht from Tire Shoppe? I am flying home from the west coast on the night of the 9th and cannot meet Joe at Giants to grab this set of tires I am buying from ...

Well an update, I visited the Steel Cities website,,, and the TT is not on either theor Club Racing Calendar or the SOLO calendar, but its on their master calendar with no contact or reg info. I am wondering if its been scrubbed and they forgot to take it off the master calendar, or if they still do...

Steel Cities TT @ Beaverrun Aug 5-6
Anyone else from NEPA / BMR thinking about attending? Looking like I can go. I'd sure like to go. If they still have openings, and are going to use transponders, I'm going for sure (otherwise I'll probably instruct with BMW CCA at Summit Point). I know one of their guys posted about it on here a whi...

Well there ya go. I've been chasing him for a few years,,, squeeking up on him every time,,, just cant quite get up on him though. It would be great to have some more cars in ITE than just Gordon and I,,, although it would likely bounce me down to third place out of three of us,,, I'd still rather h...

Welcome to ITE Matt Its the great dumping ground of race prepped BMW M cars. Its pretty much the only place SCCA gives us M cars to run in (unless you go to specials,,, but thats a weird area,,, some wild sh*t in there). Then its all down to trying to reel in ole Gordon... Cheers Jimmy P. #98 BMW M3...

HI, Well I would do it either way. It was put to a vote last year like I said and eveyone there wanted a single direction for both days. Also they voted and all said clockwise. So I'm just double checking what everyone prefers and sorry but it will only be one way for both days. Makes perfect sense...

Anyone care to report any news, discussions, any gossip, etc. as it pertained to solo 1 / err Time Trialing from the roundtable? Thanks in advance. Matt,,, sorry I couldn't make i...
