2010 fall Weatherly Walk-About
here is a link to my Picassa (Google) album of random photo stills and some short videos of a few cars launching fro Start. Feel free to select and download whatever you wish. It was great seeing and talking with all of you! (I had been out of circulation due to preserving the #36 ITB Ford Escort fo...

Re: Driving instruction for seasoned hillclimbers
Reading his comment about letting off the brake while braking into a corner and the car then rotates seems contrary to my understanding of FWD physics (and my experiences). He'd be shifting weight to the rear again, thus gaining grip there....not likely the rear would break loose and rotate. More li...

Re: Weatherly Pits
Well, Ryan, if you think the folks at Weatherly are enthusiastic, be sure to come to Giant's Despair. You'll be offered your first beer from the crowd at "Devil's Elbow" by 10:00 AM.....

Re: Jefferson
I had a Matt Green-at-length reply typed out, also, before the log in timed out. To the point, it reads here like most of you are thinking the curse or benefit of running next to someone else would be a 3/4 of the event thing, or, more importantly, the timed runs would be under track conditions shar...

Re: Weatherly Pits
Not running on a tire that could handle in the rain was a 1st for me. I didn't know what to expect and the guardrails got pretty big when I laid on the brakes and nothing happened. LOL! The only bummer was I didn't get any air over the jump. You'll just need to learn the usefulness of the "Sca...

Re: Kill switch location
While we're on this subject, does anyone know how to rig a dually-switched cut off? I already have one outside the car on the windshield wiper cowling, passenger side. I'd like to keep it, then add a second one inside where I can reach it, or a worker can, should the car be positioned such that the ...

Re: Novice Safety Gear Loaner Program
This this a great idea, Dave. As someone who had suffered a big case of forgetfulness (i.e. disorganization) at least season's Trout Run event, I sorely needed some cast-offs in order to compete. Having jsut finished a tiring work week (I work midnights), I hustled up to Pocono and instructed all da...

OK, thanks. I also have found Google map directions coming down from Blandon using Skyline Drive. This will get me directly to the Tower, no?

Duryea Directions Please
Ok, I am as dumb as they come where Reading is concerned.... How do I find the paddock, camping, etc. "City Park" doesn't ring up for me on Google Maps, and "end of Penn Street" "business 422" is just as elusive. Also, is there any construction tie-ups coming from Allen...
