This can't be England, I saw blue skies and white billowly clouds.
Nice clip.

April 8 - Summit Jefferson "incident"
This past Sat-Sun I did a drivers ed event at the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit. I learned that on Friday there was a significant accident on the Jefferson Circuit. The course was being run counter clockwise and a car went off and destroyed one of the worker station gazebos. The car had a large piece...

Re: HERSHEY "GRAND ASCENT" 2011
I would like to consider myself a "car guy" who appreciates all manner of competition and marques. I went to the VSCCA website and noted pics http://www.vscca.org/ on their home page that are appealing. The pics include many of the type of cars run at PHA events and include: Alfa Romeo, Aus...

Now for the really big news. The city is allowing us the use of 13th St extension for the event. This road is what most of us know as the pit road for Duryea. The plan is to use this road for trailer parking and pit area for anyone who wants to use it. What do you think? Rich Rock Mega kudos to Ric...

Is that a pair of brake fluid reservoirs with black caps mounted directly above the Haltech?

Hillclimb June 6
For another perspective in hillclimbing, motorcycles will climb a hill in York County on Sunday. This is a long standing event series. $15 entry fee and you can bring beer.

Re: Jefferson
OK, you guys are lucky. I had a patented Matt Green Response (TM) all typed up, then lost it. You get the quick version. On the Shenandoah issue- It costs over $6000 MORE to rent that circuit for the weekend versus Jefferson. Divide that among 75 drivers, add in the transponder rental cost, and sud...

Re: Test Day? - or early season TT
Thor, We are having the same weather here. I am over it. There is a SEdivTT scheduled for the end of February at CMP but unless the weather warms up I'm staying close to the fire.. Joe, do they allow single seaters at that PDX? I could use the seat time in my new car. Dave: Considering you already ...

Re: Can't wait to see where this goes...
Bill: I figure when you say "maxed" you are talking about gearing, not hp. There is no doubt that max torque is the way to go for hills. I know 'cause I have hp/weight, but no torque and I wish I had some more. Torque is great for getting off the turns, and we have lots of turns. Your AWD ...

Test Day? - or early season TT
Want to test out your Winter mods before the PHA season begins, or are you ready to put down an early season "time"? DC Region SCCA (which means your TT license is valid) has their first Club Trial of the year on May 2 on the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point. See the link for details. ht...

Re: Time Trial on Shenandoah Circuit at summit Halloween weekend
Joe, You have a few issues with this. 1. You need organizers of both Jefferson events to agree, plus the other organizers to join up. 2. If the Jeff events stay at level 3 and are not PHA events, and not enough level 2 drivers make the commitment to the level 3 safety, where are the drivers going t...

YESFV95 wrote: would the Jefferson event count toward the proposed TT series
AND the PHA series?
NO
I thought TT safety levels were determined by the class of event, either level 1, 2 or 3. If you run Jeff Spring/Fall, you need to meet SCCA Level 3 safety requirements, nothing would change.

Re: Time Trial on Shenandoah Circuit at summit Halloween weekend
As for a new race series. I like the idea but I'm not completely sold on getting enough participants to make it feasible. We have NJMP event, the WDCR event, and hopefully a Beaverun event next year already. We just need the regions to get together and discuss the possibility of a series. It could ...

While some of us will start to show symptoms of racing withdrawl, others will be preparing for the first event of 2010 which is less than 5 months away. South Jersey Region will again be offering a Club Racing Driver School, a PDX, and a Level 2 Time Trial over a three day weekend March 19, 20 ,21....

Update on Shenandoah event Well managed event by DC Region. Entry fee for 1 day CT- $100. We were not allowed to camp on site the night before (I never got a good explanation). We were given 2 - 20 minute practice sessions, passing in straights with a "point-by" and three timed sessions of...
