Re: 2019 Spring Jefferson Poll 2
A lot of good information here. I believe we should run it as a horizontal hillclimb and see how the group rates it. Saves finding someone to work like Dave did last year (and we all saw how whipped he was by the end of the weekend). We need to make our workers jobs as easy as possible and this chan...

Re: 2019 Spring Jefferson Poll 2
It's called the PHA for a reason. One by one we race up hills without warm tires. Seems to me that a trackcross is more appropriate for our organization. There are many track events available for those that want multiple laps.

Re: Medical Exam
Just went through the same problem with renewal. Scca says fill out the time trial license form which states that all you need is to fill out the personal side of the medical form and sign. They did not send the renewal form in my package, nor the new medical form with the signature block at the bot...

Cameron,
Glad to see you are coming to Duryea. After your fast runs at the Dragon, I've wanted to see you try PHA events. You will be glad you made the long trip.

Re: Car classification question
Cameron, You are obviously a very good hillclimber and car builder. I suggest you look at your situation from a different perspective. Although the PHA has some rules that differ from other regions/organizations, they have some features that make running their events worth any work you have to do th...

Tom,
Since you are now surrounded by Northwest Hillclimbs, do you plan to participate next year?

Re: 2012 Change with Tech
As usual, the PHA leads the pack in efforts to make events more driver friendly and also less work for the officials. All race organizations can benefit from the PHA approach. It's great to be associated with the best series in the country.

I have slight limitations: Engine, Cooling, Fuel, Belt and a driver that has about 2.5 miles as a limit. And trying to breath at 14,500 feet.

Re: Proposed change for 2012 year end points.
Nelson, Now there's a brain teaser. At first look, it seems altogether fair, but I'm sure someone will find problems with it. It might be a good way to award the overall championship points, rather than the current system. Sort of a handicapped/PAX method of looking at the year's accomplishments by ...

Re: Vintage postcard of Mt. Penn Hotel and Tower
Great piece of history. Always interesting to read about those who have gone before us and especially when it was 130 years ago. The innovative nature of America at that time always amazes me. I look forward to seeing the old rail cars next time I visit. The story also explains how America was chang...

Ditto on Steve's remarks. I have raced on many hills outside of PHA, and I can tell you nobody has better novice programs and finer workers than PHA. A committed and well run organization that has no equal in America.

Weatherly
I have a new bumper sticker for this Weatherly event the will be for sale at registration. 100% of the $10 price will go to the workers fund. Since there are only 45 of them, you better get in line early. Lets give our workers a good sendoff to the end of this season.
