Wanna have a really fun thread Dave? Have everyone list just these 5 simple things:
Class
Car Weight
Horsepower
Brake system
Suspension
This will give you some insight on record significance too.

Re: Rollcages
Bravo Morg, you win Post of the Day!
However, you might get Dave to start thinking that maybe there should be more concern over hill records, and their propensity to cause accidents. (I kid, I kid.........I understand that we are racing here, not instructing. )

Re: Rollcages
First off, just so you know, I'm not avoiding your posts, I just can't log on from my home computer for some reason. So you have to wait for me to get some time at work to reply. The 4 statements I posted earlier in this thread are copied and pasted from Jeff's original post that I also linked to e...

Re: Rollcages
I still haven't heard solid, factual replies to these 4 simple facts stated by Jeff over a year ago. Anybody care to take a stab?? Anybody? Dave? And does anybody know the facts behind the 2 deaths in SCCA Rally that a cage did not prevent? *No one has ever been killed in a PHA event with a roll bar...

Re: Rollcages
Adam, Is it possible that different states have different laws regarding what is and isn't insurable? I'm only asking because I know Joe is from PA and you're from NJ. Also, to your earlier point about street car crash testing, in the land of lawyers and lawsuits, I would think that cars that carry ...

Re: Rollcages
Another piece of logic that escapes me is that my Rabbit in H Production that runs against a class record at Duryea of 138.2 requires a cage, yet a Street Mod car needs only a bar in a class with a record of 116.2 (Jeremy). Do the math, that's 22 seconds faster. Somebody tell us what that relates t...

Re: Exhaust welding
Here's a thought...Someone might not need stainless steel welding(for example) everyday, but when someone needs it, they generally need it NOW. Would it be a good idea to start a list of recommended folks for specialty items such as mrevil's welding requirement, and have it on this Forum? Great Ide...

Congratulations on your Hill Record, George. I can only dream of what it must feel like to be the new King of the Hill, and doing it in a car that is designed by your son makes it all the sweeter. Great job to both of you!

Didn't get much of a chance to look at it yet...hopefully tomorrow. I'm expecting the worst though. I'll keep ya posted, and I'll try to get some of my slow, slippery videos up in the next day or two. Glad you liked the course. That top section is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Nice Mark. That BMW hauls out of the turns. My Brother Mike and I are very impressed with the times you put down on your first weekend on the big course. We were sweating it out by the speakers for your last run, just in case he had to jump in and take one more run. Great job all weekend long.

OMG! I used to follow Ernie in all the races. Terrible tradgedy that wreck. Now I am completely honored to be on the hill!!! And it just adds more thrill to being there. My son still has the 18scale model of the car. Now, if Mark Au.....no, wrong guy, Mark Martin would only come and run once..........
