Quick Question - rules related
Are foreign spec parts allowed for any classes outside of specials and modified? I'm curious about a couple options.

LSD vs. Open
From experience, which is a better setup? The limited slip or having just an open diff. I ask because i am at the point where i need to figure out which differential i want to run. Diff 1 Vented Disc Brakes Limited Slip About 70lbs heavier than Diff 2 Diff 2 Larger Drums Open Diff. I know open diffs...

Re: 1982 Rx7 GS - CSP
You may have a problem with your brake mods and rear diff... What year is the GSL you're taking the rear from? Is it a non-turbo car? If it is not listed with the other RX7s shown under "Street Prepared Class C", the swap is not legal; further, allowable brake mods are ONLY those listed u...

1982 Rx7 GS
So here begins a 1982 Mazda Rx7 GS project. Bought the car locally for $800 from a local guy. Has 70k on it, very well maintained (had the factory window sticker). Only missing the carburetors he had on it (they were a rare, dual Weber 36 setup). So this should be a great starting point. My goal is ...

Re: CARB size? category rule questions
so i think i may have final figured out some of the rules on classes.
I think i want to go with the C Street Prepared class for the 1982 GS. I can use the 12a engine without porting modifications, but use an header and from what i can tell an different carburator setup.

Re: updating / backdating engines
i picked up the 1982 GS model last night. Real clean shape. I plan on doing as stated. CSP. im actually rummaging through the GCR pdf from hell for 1) exactly was CSP stands for and 2) the rules! As for the Street Mod class, this is actually the first i've heard about this. What rulebook PDF would i...

Re: updating / backdating engines
well being that i don't HAVE the engine for the GSLSE. So that IS going to be a problem unless that car is going to be a "special". Frankly, i have no qualms about running in a class where i have no chance in hell of winning as long as i have some fun. So lets then look at my other car. 1...

Re: updating / backdating engines
it would be VERY hard to tell the difference between the 84-85 13b and a 86-88 13b because the only differences is the change from 3mm to 2mm seals, compression and i believe that to be about it for the actual block. Everything else is a bolt on change over. Plus if the transmissions had to come fro...

Re: updating / backdating engines
so i may almost HAVE to run the GSLSE in "special". but i do have a 12a powered 1982 that i could possibly run in another (cheaper) class. Both arent expensive builds really.
so the spec 7 might be good for the 82. or IT
