Re: Street Prepared Turbo cars should be moved to SM and SM2

Good idea Dave, I like it. It just might give me a new outlook on my car.

Re: I have a couple of quick questions...

Hughie,I wish Gurney was available. He did do a comercial for the Supra when it came out in 82. Rich, I wish I could get ahold of one of those V-8's. It would be interesting to say the least. I thought about Street Mod, but I'll most likely be bringing up the rear of DSP. I'm running for the fun it,...

Re: I have a couple of quick questions...

Thanks Ron, but I'm not there yet, we'll see how it goes. But so far so good. The engine should be ready by the end of next month.
I picked up another car, a Supra of course, so my '85 will be strictly a hillclimb and weekend fun car.

Re: I have a couple of quick questions...

Thanks for the info Joe, if all goes well, I'll be at Weatherly and a few others. I won't be doing Polish Mtn and both Summit Points.

I have a couple of quick questions...

It's been a few years since I ran the hills last, like '04, so bear with me. As far as getting my license again, will I need to go through the novice program? Helmet, mine is an SA2000, so I'll need a new one, correct? 5 or 6 point belts required? All my other safety gear is still up to snuff. Thank...

It's been quite awhile since I've posted here, but this might be a solution. How about a horsepower to weight ratio formula for cages? Decent idea? Or am I way off base. Just figured I'd throw out something. While I agree you can never be too safe running a hill, why not just leave the rules as is? ...

OK, sorry Sue, maybe 15-20 minutes. But probably no more than that.
I may have been alittle off in my estimates.
On another note, wait till you see the pits at Weatherly. More room has been added.

Thanks Tim, I'll email SCCA and find out for sure.

Jeff, I'll be running another Supra, my white 85. I wouldn't say exactly attacking the hills. I'm running for the fun of it. Sitting out last year was absolutely unbearable. My light blue 84 is history, long story.

I'll be back running this year.

And I have a question.
Since I didn't apply for a license last year, should I apply for a regular license or do I need to go through the novice route again?
I ran last in 2004 at Fall Weatherly.
