Noticed on Ebay, there is a 1965 vette racecar, listing Ron Glick as the orig owner/driver.

Re: Corvette & Hill Climbing

Hello Ron. Hope you and your family are well. No, actually I was referring to my old car. Before we had the red Camaro, we had an old GT1 vette, that was red/white/blue. It was a true old vette at one time, and was a championship AP car from california, that was rebodied to run T/A in the late 70`s....

Re: Corvette & Hill Climbing

Any good pics of the red/white/blue vette that ran at Giants 2000/2001 or so? BTW, that old GT1 vette still races down south regionally.

Re: Wolf Ridge Hillclimb - 2008 Date and Info

Not really my place anymore (since my retirement from racing!) but,.....I did race Wolf last year... It is an awesome course...tight, fast, no time to breathe...as close to Chimney Rock as we will experience. George is unbeatable there, until someone invents a car to beat his on tight courses. Daryl...

Re: Really off topic

Mary Anne. I would vote for you! Damn good common sense. Not bad for the driver of the loudest darn car I have ever heard!! How about Stan Vann for a running mate??? Good looks, and common sense (of course I am referring to Mary Anne!) Personally, I hope all Americans vote with their hearts, morals,...

Re: In-car video of polish mtn wreck!

Looked like the car picked up a dang big push...not enough room to recover. Mark had a reputation of leaving nothing on the table....kind`ve like some of the Oz`s!! Well, all of the Oz clan!

I have a nice 2001 Z06 for sale. Dedicated hillclimb/TT car (not street legal). It holds the ASP record at several hillclimbs down south. I have reduced the price to 23k, ready to race in 2008. It is in the classified section.

Merry Christmas to my PHA buds!

Merry Christmas! Couple of questions: 1. Daryl Danko....Give Swifty a big ole kiss for me (hell, I`ll never kiss that big rascal!!). 2. How is Barry? 3. Whatever happened to Fred Thum? Drove a GT1 Cobra couple of years back. 4. The Oswalds. What is it going to be like, when 3rd generation Oz`s start...

Hey Dave. Hope you and your Pop are well. Well....George is still dominating down here. There is talk that a certain hillclimber in the Asheville area might put a sports racer with a Hyabusa engine. Would be fast, not sure if he can beat George. John Finger has made rumbles about building a car, but...

Proof why I consider you the greatest active hillclimb driver (no offense to George or Daryl). What you do with a CF/FF vintage car, is so classy. Clean, deft control. Quick twitch of the wheel....quick hands, clean sliding of the car.

Damn proud of you Stann.

retirement

Thanks gang. I`ll miss a thumpin` V8 in front of me! Hopefully, it will be a temporary retirement..... I have 2 kids to put thru college, plus, I have lost the passion for the sport. Time to hang up the helmet. I need a break. But, hope to come up next year and hang out. I miss Swifty`s sexy little ...

With all due respect to my PHA friends.... Watch Stan`s run....He is one fearless individual... This was a very tough course. Potentially (in my humble opinion) the most technical hillclimb course I have ever experienced. Very tight, very narrow, blind corners, tight hairpins. Relatively low speeds ...

Jim. Have a good time down in the heat. I hope you have a great and safe event.

I`ll be in the mountains of NC, with my hillclimbing compadres. Come on up. Forget about that flat, sand covered road course! We`ll pass a most refreshing jar of NC`s finest around the circle!!!

Wolf Ridge Hillclimb

Registration is open. Awesome opportunity for you PA guys to come down, and tune up for your PHA season. Very tight course, somewhat similar to Chimney Rock and Pagoda (except slower than Pagoda).

Check out the video, and registration info at http://www.wolfridgehillclimb.com
