Re: New to the region - Vehicle eligibility question
The question about the cage could be answered by someone inspecting this up close. There is a production car option for a low cage design for convertibles, but that would depend on dash structure in the actual car. Look at the road racing GCR under cages. That would probably be the main issue, as we...

^^^^^^^^^^ Hey, I represent that reply! Car on Fire... I was looking at Google maps to see what the Constitution Ave looks like for parking my trailer, and if you go on earth, the picture was actually taken during a hill climb! What are the chances of that? Could we start parking Thursday night? Steve

Re: 2015 Pagoda Hillclimb
Steve, I had a similar inquiry about Friday night from 2 novices that will not be able to get to Jefferson until late and were wondering how rigid we were going to be. I told them I would ask because they said it may affect whether they register it or not. Technically at Jefferson, isn't everyone a...

Rose Valley Annual Tech
I am hoping to be at Rose Valley by noon on Friday. I would like to get started on annual techs for the season, depending on car load. But since this is our first event, please take some time to look at your safety equipment. Be sure drivers suit, gloves, shoes, socks, underwear if needed, balaclava...

Re: Car classification assistance - lots of modifications
I would think we can use that class. Its a national solo class. Steve, that is not a recognized class according to Time Trial Rules, they only specify: ELIGIBILITY OF VEHICLES: All vehicles meeting the minimum vehicle safety equipment standards: • All current GCR (both National and Regional) classe...

Re: Car classification assistance - lots of modifications
Keith, The other issue I see is the design of the front tubes. The GCR states that the front tubes must go to the floor. In your design it goes to the firewall. It also states the tubes must follow the roof line from the main hoop to the windshield. I know that was you main issue. If you can get nat...

Re: Car classification assistance - lots of modifications
Keith, There are many solo classes we do not run like prepared and modified, or even street stock classes. If your is prepped beyond Street Modified as some are suggesting, then you need to look at GCR classes or PHA accepted classes. In some of these you can retain just a roll bar, but if you car i...

Re: Removable diagonal design check
Hi Keith, That is an interesting concept and definitely one we have not seen before as we generally never see a removable cross brace. The GCR does have guidelines for a removable brace, and is on page 118 of current GCR. Though your concept could be strong enough, it does not meet the GCR guideline...

Re: Rose Valley road surface
I was wondering if there are any records listed for Rose valley anywhere? I looked at results from 2008 but they were not anywhere as complete at what Nelson provides for us now. Will we continue with the previous records and build on there? Hoping I can make this event and at least a few of the oth...

SPO/SPU Rules
I was wondering where the rules would be found for these classes?
Also ITE? I am trying to help a friend class an early WRX that is prepped beyond SM specs, mainly because full gut, some subframe replacement, and some other minor changes.
