Re: Summit Point Main - PDX/TT - Sep 24-25

The price for Saturday PDX and Sunday Track Trials is $350. The only caveat is that you will get loads of track time. For the Track Trials, drivers will get a 20 minute warm-up session plus 3-40 minute timed sessions. Like PHA events, the times sessions will be run as a round-robin with cars constan...

Summit Point Track Trial - 24 Oct 2010

For those of you who missed the last Track Trials event, there's one more for 2010 - as some folks call it, this is another horizontal hill-climb although Summit Point Main has more elevation changes than the Jefferson. Everyone who attended the last event in September had a good time and in fact, s...

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

Keep this up and I'll stop wearing my Nomex mini-skirt and playing "Umbrella Boy"...

You do have another chance to run over at least 1 Matt before the end of the season - we have another Track Trials event on Sun, Oct 24 on Summit Point Main (I'll post details separately).

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

Thanks to those of you from PHA who attended the Track Trials - since we use times and a different format from Jefferson, I didn't play starter and no one tried to run me over (except Paul but we think he just had his eyes shut).

Hope to see more folks out in Rocktober!!

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

There have been a few questions about the event that I'll try to clarify. The gates open at 0700 on Saturday morning and will remain open until after the event closes on Sunday. Registration is on-line only and closes at midnight on Monday. Cancellations are via the website and a full refund is poss...

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

Thanks for the help with the link. Dunno what happened to the WDCR website other than it's very upset.

One can also find registration for the event on DLB Racing.

Matthew

Heads up - the WDCR website is running again.

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

Just a reminder that registration for this event closes on Mon, 20 Sep 2010 - so far, I only see Grace & Paul registered. Of course, I'm so terrible with names that everyone could be entered and I wouldn't know it...

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

So there would be no advantage in having the transponder far forward in road racing? Unfortunately not or some racers would have long-ago developed the transponder "extension" to help them "win" races... There is talk of Solo events using transponders but I can't foresee that gi...

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

In case it wasn't just me who had trouble figuring this out, if you want to register for Sunday only -- TT only or TT & Sunday PDX -- you need to use the "Registration" link on the WDC website for Sunday 9/26. The Saturday 9/25 "Registration" link is only to register for com...

Re: Summit Point Track Trial - 26 Sep 2010

So long as the transponder has a clear view of the pavement, it'll work. WDCR uses transponders because we don't have ...
