Re: Spring Weatherly
Yep Sue we miss Chicker Man. Came every year and every now and then He would get a car to start and raced the event. One year he ran one of my Formula Vee's with his son Jon and they had a blast, no maintenance for them. My brother and I worked the turns with him in the 1960's and early 1970's. He w...

Saw your name when I was sending out the NEPA invites for the banquet and I was planning to give you a call. Good to hear you may be out again this year. Is Dan Gurney still prepping your car?

I've been to a lot of the Saturday night parties and as the night gets late and the beers go, I think some run on BS. That would be a alternate fuel!

Re: Ideas for a short promotional Video of the PHA...
Diane,
I do have some old Weatherly Hillclimb video. About 1974. Joe Wilkie in his Formula Ford, Myran Munchak in a Corvette special etc. I have it on VHS and DVD. I need to call Keith about doing a valve job on his Formula Vee and we can discuss it then?

Re: PHA MARKETING
Good points Mike. I drag out drivers with me just to have someone to race with. I don't know of anyone that tried it that didn't come back for more. The only complaint I always hear, and I agree, is the events move too slow. I wish we could run in groups, get the runs in and then plam the next day. ...

If the schedule can be voted on this early it would be great. I love to plan early. That is what makes scheduling road racing easier. Thanks Tom!

Re: MPG?
Road racing my Formula Vee it gets 18.5 MPG. This includes the pace lap and cool down lap.
Hillclimbs it gets 20 to 21 depending on the distance to turn around. The most MPG I've seen was at Polish Mountian at 21.2 MPG.

PAX is what John Pitman uses to win Formula Vee. (Along with 66 HP) John thinks PAX is using his age, divide it into his fastest run, plus one (Guinness) and that is the PAX time!

Re: John Bolton & the Blue Goose...remember?
Fire Breathing for sure. My brother John worked with the old "hocky stick" at the start line and that car nearly set his pants on fire. I remember working the corners and thinking the Goose was going to set the hay bayles on fire. It was quite a fan pleaser.

Re: John Bolton & the Blue Goose...remember?
Yep, I remember the Blue Goose. It was one of the cars you had to watch run. It is on my "wish list" to own someday. I think Dan Lipperini owned it for a while. Bill Gorski & I went looking for this car in the late 1980s. Will it run again? Hope so.
