Re: Entry lists for Hillclimb events.
back in the "bad old days" of this sport (remember the week preceeding an event and hand chiseling your new set of tires out of special race grade granite?) all pre entered cars / drivers were listed by class , car and car number that was put inside your event program and there were a few ...

Re: Post Weatherly
bob, hugs are welcome in our home. corner working is a bitter sweet thing for me. when mary anne told me we were going to corner work our first event i said NO , i'm a driver NOT a worker. reluctantly (and a bit grumpy too) i worked my first event watching our fellow competitors pas by . i never saw...

Re: February Meeting will be held
so ok some great progress in the sport has finally been made and we missed it all! being "stuck here on ice" (sounds like some kind of disney on ice production...) was a hoot! as hilclimbers we go up hill right? well most of the time..right? our driveway has a tiny incline so evry day i hi...

Re: considering getting a car
gregor, well i think it's time to come by for a visit. i could roll out my little healey and you could test drive it for an idea of what a competition preped spridget could offer. mary anne told me you lost my email address. also you could test drive the saabs too. that would give you an idea of how...

Re: noise control
after some serious thought i've decided to withdraw the saab from all PHA events as well as sell the other two we have (one complete turn key and mary anne's race car project). i've had enough of all this and what was once plesant is now extremly unplesant. where once it was a "we need the entr...

hey ron, that program cover cartoon looks a lot like my father's cosworth ford anglia #25 he ran i believe in the 1966 season. the car was very dark metallic green and was referred to as the "green bean". i still posess the custom painted match box model of my father's car. chuck christ ex...

flat spots on tyres
if you have had the car sitting on the ground for a while those tires will get a bit wierd at first due to flat spotting. i just took my '59 bugeye out yesterday for the first time in a very long time and at first it was like driving on square tires , untill they warmed up and got sticky again! afte...

cage or bar?
the swedish tanks i'm attracted to , have an integral structure built into their roof area. just the rollbar is a bit redundant in my case. in my 1967 H modified sports racer it conforms to 1967 SCCa GCR's and the entire frame with roll over structure weighs less than 80lbs! in vintage and historic ...
