If done, it would have to be on a strictly volunteer basis. This is due to the fact that in our rules it says that all drivers must be given the opportunity for the same number of unobstructed runs. That being said, I personally believe that we had enough people that were already packed up at Jeffer...

I do want to comment on a few things here. #1- While I do NOT agree with the decision that was made, I do respect the rights and responsibilities of the Officials to make the decision. The idea of having a drivers meeting at that point is really irrelevant. The choice was made, and we need to deal w...

Actually, new updates say Sunday might be decent... Just an FYI- I have a hotel room for all 3 nights, so if the Friday night rains are as heavy as they're saying and someone wants to split the room, let me know. I'll probably be over Friday evening at Jefferson to register. Bring earplugs. I'm told...

Well, I'm already thinking the worst. I'll be bringing my driving gear, but I won't get my hopes up. If it is raining, this will be one more weekend I'll be on the sidelines... BTW- A few channels are showing that area of WV/VA/MD/PA with rainfall totals in the 8" range between Friday night and...

I wanted to take a minute to say thanks to those who came out to help with setup- Jon & Steve Tumolo, Rick and Nelson Kase, Steve Hirschtritt, Joe Specht, Skip Levengood, Mike Crocker, Ross Wessner (a new BMR member who will be racing his first hill at Duryea), Tom Knorr and his wife (who's name...

That's typically not a problem, and actually getting to be recommended if you want a decent spot. There should be plenty of people there to ward off any problems.

BMR Picnic- but all are invited!

This Saturday, after the hillclimb setup, my family will be hosting a picnic that will somewhat serve as the annual BMR picnic. That being said, all are invited. We just need to know if you're coming. Please reply via PM or email or reply here. Sorry for the very late notice, but time just got away ...

If anyone from here is going to be coming to the hill setup, please respond so that we know what to expect. You may either post here as a followup, or PM or email me. I will be there. Also, there will be a BMR picnic following the setup at my house. Please email me privately if you plan to attend. M...

This is actually an idea that Matt Rowe has been pondering for some time, and it wound up being discussed at Rose Valley... At this point, I felt that we should do what we have been through the end of the season. I think we need to investigate exactly how the Novice orientation and all will work bef...

Matt-

As Nelson said, you do not need to carry Novice status for Duryea. In fact, I'm trying to keep the Novice groups as small as possible since we always have quite a few of them.

Thanks for asking, rather than just assuming.

Fall Jefferson status

For those who heard or passed the rumors at Rose Valley- Fall Jefferson is proceeding as planned. Apparently, several of us (myself included) got the mistaken impression that the preliminary work was not completed. This was not the case, and in fact everything is in place for a very successful event...

To answer the original question: You only NEED a bar at minimum for Street Mod (Usually you don't include the "1").

That being said, I STRONGLY suggest a full cage. I mean, isn't your safety worth the few $$ difference and the little extra time involved?

BEst thing to do, for Time Trials and especially Road Racing:

Bring a rechargable drill (preferably charged) and bits to your first inspection. This way, the inspector himself can tell you the best locations for the holes.

If it's not listed yet, it falls into one of the NOC (not otherwise classified) listings. Don't forget, the Solo 2 classes are based on parity for Autocross courses. My Shelby Charger would've run CSP when I first started, and I would've had almost every CSP record my rookie year (but the CSP guys g...

Spring Jefferson- Thanks to all

Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks. This weekend was proof that the right ideas, coupled with a few people who are willing to do a few things to make them happen, are the future of what we do. My job working pit out was made much easier by people who took the time to organize a system for gr...
