Cameron, I'd like to echo George Bowland's comments: The racing and the racers of PHA drew me to regularly encounter 7 to 12 hour tows from New England, rarely missing an event for 10 years. I could have competed much closer to home but PHA made that much off a difference to me. Illness and slow car...

A 100 year old Peerless passed at least one (much newer) car during the 2004 Mt Washington hill climb. I was told the riding mechanic refused to ride back down the mountain with the driver. The Peerless was about the size of Butch King's semi tractor and had close to 1000 cubic inches. It beat the o...
