Hill Climb in Northern Italy

Check out this video on YouTube. I can't believe he overtakes two cars at the end and that is allowed. We could never run a hill climb like this over here in the states. If you go off here I don't know what would happen but it wouldn't be pretty, not much run off. I don't like that they have to put ...

Re: Giants

I wouldn't plug or patch the tire on your Subie. Maybe the truck. To plug or patch you can't have the hole too close or on the sidewall. Any tire shop would be able to tell you what is safe and what is not. But as far as the tire on your race car, I'll repeat the best advice ever given to me - "...

Re: I need help with classing...

Hey Bill, For Rally class you would have to follow Rally America rules that are found here. http://www.rally-america.com/rules.php You probably don't want to do that because that would require the turbo restrictor. Which I'm sure you are familiar with from running NASA Rally New York. If you have an...

Hill Climb in Switzerland

I don't think they have corner workers at this hill climb, possibly just coroners and undertakers.

Re: Rolling History...

It was great to see that car there. I'm sure Mike had a good time checking it out. Thanks for saving a little piece of Subaru history. My Subaru of America sales rep (a Weatherly Native) was there and took a picture with his phone of the car to show some people back at Subaru.

I drove up the hill Thursday night, the paving is all done. Wow is it nice. There will be a lot of records broken in September.

Dave, I just told you I don't care about my time. Jeez. Besides, the superior Subaru All Wheel Drive system still has traction in mid air. :D

Re: Weatherly Big Air Club....

I don't care how I run the rest of the course or what my time is, I judge a successful run by how much air I get over the jump!

Re: Rally Class in Time Trials

I don't understand why so many of you are not looking ahead? Why are you some of you looking back to see what you can mess with instead of looking at the new rules and saying "how can I use that to my advantage"? Its not about looking back and seeing what we can mess with or any of that. ...

Nice Subaru Video

Ken Block driving a modified WRX STi. This has at least 250 horsepower MORE than a normal rally car. Ken is one of the co-founders of DC Shoes and drives one of the factory Subarus in the Rally America series. You will be amazed at this short video. http://video.kenblockracing.com/flash/small_player...

Jeff, I think that is a pretty cool idea. I agree on compiling the "pitfalls along the way" as it was described to us. I don't think it is going to turn a novice or third year driver into an expert but it would be nice to see all of the different lines and driving styles. I will get some o...

Does anyone know more of the history of this car? Or who the current buyer and seller are on E-bay? One of my mechanics remembers the old Subaru dealer in town (Little Foreign Car Shop) racing one of these in the 70s and early 80s at Weatherly. We are wondering if it is the same car we're looking at...

Fire Extinguisher re-certification

Does anyone know where to get a fire extinguisher system re-certified locally?
