Re: New to the region - Vehicle eligibility question

It is not possible to look a picture and tell if it meets our standards for equipment I.E. roll bar/cage, fire system, seat belts, etc. Go to scca.org and look up roll structure standards. Look at pahillclimb.com it will give some info. Look at roll bar size and main hoop diagonal etc. Where are you...

Re: New to Hillclimb - Here's my plan

I think you will find that without a full cage a window net is almost impossible, arm restraints will work fine if adjusted properly. All formula cars have required arm restraints for years and they work well.

Re: Hopeful 2018 Novice - Class & Safety Setup Help Needed

Glad to here from a new hillclimber. First it is not possible to say a car meets the safety requirements without an actual inspection. It sounds like you are on the right track. Go the results page and look at an event from this year and it will give our Supps. They will also give the classes we run...

As to which hill? What area are you in, just go an event near you and ask, we are happy to help. Better yet you can work an event and learn all about us.

Re: What to get started

There would be several classes where this car can run. Go to SCCA.ORG and look up solo classes, in solo there is the street prepared citatory, you should be able to find your car listed. Using street prepared keeps the car more or less stock, you must add a roll bar (min) seat harness and fire extin...

Sue
Download a Self medical form and submit it, that is the required medical. Unless national has a previous refusal or another special condition on record that is all you need.

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions

If you are close to the Reading area, stop at Susquehanna Motorsports. It is located on US 222 north of reading. They are hillclimbers, members if our local SCCA club. They have always given a very good price andknow what is required to race the hills. They have items in stock that can be tried on f...

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions

try looking at the street prepared classes, they are listed under solo rules. Add a min of a roll bar. There are several other ways to go also. Go to pahillclimb.org and download an entry form for an event it will list classes.
Yes a tech can look at a car early, we recommend it.

To answer that we need to know what your running and the level of build, give as many details as you can. The SCCA tech form is a good guide but it may or not all apply to you vehicle. Any time something comes along that is different than is shown or is of a non standard material or design Must be approved by National. It is a very hard procedure to show...
