Very interesting patches on that jacket.
I sent a message to Ron Mann if he had any results or registrations that would identify the owner of the jacket I found.

Re: VINTAGE RACE JACKET
Hi Sue,
Thanks for the response.
Is this jacket part of a fire suit or like you say a club or team jacket?
It may have not belonged to the woman who had it or been a wife or relative of the owner?
I’m going to contact Ron Mann to see if he has registrations or results from those races.

VINTAGE RACE JACKET
Do any of you old timers out there recognize the name Sheila Bunch?
She would have been a driver or corner worker at the Duryea Hillclimbs and Reading Road Races held at the Reading Airport for the years 1968 thru 1970.
I am trying to attach a picture of a jacket with race patches.

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions
I didn't mean to suggest that you think about converting the Cabrio to race. I just wanted to establish a connection as to where you are coming from. Just in case things don't work out with the BMW and you want to continue with the VW theme! I have 2, MKII chassis. Pretty much stripped out. One very...

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions
To VR6 MAN. Many will will tell you that I'm a big pain in the ass and most are glad that I have kept my mouth shut for a long time. So what made me open my big mouth again? I'm a VW guy. When you mentioned about fixing up your Cabrio, I got interested. I race a 1984 Rabbit GTI in the H/ Production ...

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions
On the other hand. Maybe I could sell you an engine? I sell complete drop out Chevy 5.3 and 6.0 with drive by wire harness and ECU's. I know you said you were on a tight budget but I supplied a friend the Ford 3.5 V6 Twin Turbo Eco Boost. He installed it in his American Iron Mustang and has been set...

Re: Car Classifications and other Questions
After a long hiatus from the forum, I would like to make make just one comment. First, learn to drive a slow car fast. Then you might learn to drive a fast car fast. Don't try to build the fastest car in the world till you know how to drive the fastest car in the world or win with the slowest for th...

I should have included this before. His web site is AJHARTMAN.com I said his priority is Mustang but he actually does more BMW stuff than Mustang. He is not showing all of his parts he currently makes including Fenders, complete front bumper with canards and splitter, and hood for 99 and up Mustang ...

Attention Mustang Enthusiasts
I just delivered a new drive line to my friend AJ Hartman. He owns AJ Motorsports, a fabricator and constructor of race cars in Millville NJ. AJ specializes in Carbon Fiber body parts, wings and other light weight part designs for a multitude of cars but Mustangs are his priority. What I supplied to...

we need your help
atlantic city Dear Friends and Family, I have decided to sleep on the street to show homeless young people that they are not alone. Did you know that each year 2 million children will face homelessness in this country? That number is staggering, in part because it seems impossible. We don’t see home...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
There you have it! All Cameron has to do is submit his form to NASA and show he is classified for the ST2 "series" and that is official. He qualifies for ITE. Under these circumstances, I would suggest having the full "boiler plate" documentation on hand.

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Just like the old days. The more I try to explain and clarify, the deeper in trouble I get and turn friends into enemies. I'll take one more swing at it. The key terms are Series and Marque Clubs. Examples of series outside SCCA would be American Iron, 944 cup, E30 cup. They are rules for classing b...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
On my previous post I said I had to make a couple corrections. Besides no STO class, the rules in ST exclude cross manufacturer engine swaps. So the way our current ITE rules are written, the Pro series cars over 3.5L have no class to run in except SPO and Specials. We might have to rethink or resta...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
I stand corrected on a couple issues. The STO class was never formed. STU is for up to 3.5 litres 6 cylinder. Anything else needs approval. Kind of sounds dumb since they were referring to race series like American Iron and Pony Car! But they were saying submit your request and we will think about i...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Before I comment any further, could someone direct me to the site for the Southeast Division or Region that has the rules posted for Street Unlimited.
And Jeremy, what class rules was your car prepared to and why couldn't you qualify for ITE?

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
So what are we arguing about here. If we determined that Cameron can run in 3 different classes, Specials, SPO, STO, why does it have to include ITE? The way we wrote the brief rules was to keep it simple and yet we have complicated the hell out of it. If you ask the officials who wrote the GCR rule...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Mark and Jer, The paper work requirements are just "boiler plate". If anyone wants to counter a ruling, then all the paper work needs to be in order. Otherwise, lets not sweat the details. Why wouldn't he qualify for SPO? If an Ex Sprint Cup, Arca or any other NASCAR series car or truck qu...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Jeremy, I missed a major point that you made. If the Southern SCCA Region runs a hillclimb or time trial "Series" with points and a championship that includes a Production based car with unlimited power train modifications, then the 240Z qualifies for ITE. Again, just my own humble opinion...

Re: ITE/Classing of street legal "swapped" cars
Yes , NO, maybe? The intent of the rules, as I see it, was to allow a car from any organization that ran a "SERIES". Not just that it qualifies for this class or that class in some race race group or another. Everyone says, there was never a car that really qualified for ITE. I'm not sure....
